Piracy is a common occurrence that plaguesStarfield’suniverse. There is no shortage of criminal gangs and groups: the Crimson Fleet, Ecliptic Mercenaries, and Spacers. The Eleos Retreat is a facility to reform convicts through personal development and courses before integrating them back into galactic society. Or they would do if construction was not halted by the mysterious disappearance of one of the construction crew.
Although The Eleos Retreat is currently under construction, the head of the facility, Sloan Temitope, and chief administrator, Nevan Bohn, have already begun using convicts to build and operate the facility; being ex-convicts themselves, this could only unsettle the delicate balance of politics with the Trackers Alliance.
Where To Find The Eleos Retreat
The Eleos Retreat facility is found on the planet Ixyll II within the remoteIxyllsystem, which can be found by scrolling northeast past the Kryx System on the star map.
Ixyll II is abundant with life and resources; during your time on the planet, you can mine rare resources such asGold and Antimony. However, you will have to contend with thehostile Nightmare Hunters!
There are limited services at The Eleos Retreat, likely due to the facility being a construction site. However, you’ll be able to make use of the following services:
The Missing Construction Worker
You’ll stumble acrossSloan Temitope and Nevan Bohn, arguing with Jonah Halftown, the construction foreman tasked with managing the construction of the Eleos Retreat.Jonah is concerned about the recent disappearance of construction worker Levent Kilman. He explains that he won’t lift a finger until Sloan gets her security to find out what happened to Levent.
You can gain favor from your followersby selecting the"And if folks can’t get a job?..“dialogue option after asking if Jonah is interested in helping the convicts. Equally, you’ll lose favor for saying, “Exactly, you commit a crime. You’ve earned yourself punishment, not pampering.”
The Dead Stop quest begins once you speak to Sloanand select the “You know, I might be able to help…” dialogue option. you’re able to either catch Sloan after the argument outside the facility or in her office.
Sloan will tell you to speak to Greg D’Angelo in the Infirmary,the head of Eleos Retreat security, about the last known location of Levent Kilman. Greg will explain that hefound tracks by the nearby Crystal Caverns and that you should go search for Levent there.
Before you leave the Eleos Retreat, we suggest you explore the facility. Although still under construction, there are a few completed rooms that contain loot, such as the blue-themed bedroom, which containsThe New Atlantian Magazine,which unlocks the Beer Brat Platter food item.
Where To Find Levent Kilman
The Crystal Caverns are only a short walk away from Eleos Retreat. Ixyll II is teeming with life. There is an abundance of resources, flora, and fauna to discover, so make sure to scan everything you find along the way andbe cautious of Nightmare Hunters Ixyll II’s most dominant predator.
Multiple paths snake from the Crystal Cavern entrance. It’s a good idea to explore each path even though they all loop back to each other, asyou can mine Gold and Antimonyfrom deposits in the cave walls. However, be careful; the cavern is filled withPack Glowhands, which pose a threat with their venomous attacks.
Levent can be found in between the big chamber at the bottom of the cavern and the giant crystal. If you have the Empath trait, you can choose the “[Empath] this experience is over. I’m going to take you someplace safe, come.”
This will gain favor from your followers and calm down Levent in the process, causing him to start following you. Lead Levent back to the Eleos Retreat entrance, where you’ll be met with Sloan, Nevan, and Jonah as everyone discusses the next steps. Jonah refuses to work after Levent explains someone kidnapped him, ordering Sloan to find out who is responsible for Levent’s capture.
Speak to Sloan, and she will give you coordinates to a nearby abandoned research and surveillance outpost and ask you to investigate the area for clues. This concludes the Dead Stop quest,rewarding you with credits and 75 XPand triggering theGhost Hunt quest to start.
