There are all kinds of different local specialties you can collect inGenshin Impact. These materials are super important because they are used to ascend characters, making them quite coveted. Local specialties are found all over the different regions in Teyvat, often in very specific environments.

Scarabs are notoriously tricky to find and collect because they are very sparsely scattered over a large area of the map that is generally barren; traversing the desert is already exhausting as is. Furthermore, these little creatures can blend in with the sand, and will even burrow under it sometimes.

There are some instances on the maps where asingle marker corresponds to two or more Scarab locations, whenever they are too close to be marked separately.

Scarabs In Khaj-Nisut

These Scarabs arenot located in Khaj-Nisut, but rather close to its gate, and they’re easy to pick up due to their proximity to the Teleport Waypoint that is located right at the entrance. All you need to do isfast-travel to that Waypoint andhead just slightly west, where there will be two rocks right beside the staircase, with one Scarab on each of them.

There will betwo Primal Constructs patrolling the nearby areaat the bottom of the staircase, so be careful not to set them off. If you do, the Scarabs will most likelybury themselves in the sand, and you will have to wait a while to be able to pick them up.
