Finding Roller Shells is likely one of the first crafting materials you’ll struggle to find.
This ingredient is needed to upgrade your Crafting Bench for the first time, so you’ll want to find three shells as soon as possible. Here’s what you need to know about how to get these rare items.

How To Get Roller Shells
Roller Shells are obtained by defeating Rollers, strange crab-like enemies that can pack a punch. They do rolling attacks that can take off quite a chunk of health if you don’t manage to dodge it. But after they finish rolling, they are dazed momentarily, andthat’s the best time to strike. Be careful, as even if you are out of range, theywill hurl projectilesat you.
Before tackling a Roller, it’s best to ensure you have a good weapon, a shield, and some food to replenish your health if things get hairy.
Rollers also like the taste of Bones, weirdly. If you drop some Bones out nearby, it’ll coax them out of their hiding spot anddistract them while you can attack.
It appears thateach Roller drops one Shellwhen it is defeated. Shells are used for various crafting recipes,including Charmsand Shields.
There’s also a chance of obtaining Shells from chests you find hidden throughout the world.
Where To Find Rollers
Rollers are rare to find, but they’re also hard to spot, making your chances of getting your Shells with little effort pretty slim.They disguise themselves as rocks, but there is a tell-tale sprout poking out the topof them. They alsoshake occasionally, too. If you get too close, they will pop up and start attacking you.
