The Ex-Factor quest inCyberpunk 2077is a side job assigned by Judy Alvarez in which V and Judy set out to seek revenge for Evelyn’s death. The ending of the quest will depend on your dialogue choices with Maiko and Judy.
Depending on your choices in the ‘Automatic Love’ quest, you can also encounter a mini-boss battle with Oswald Forrest, who is responsible for Eve’s death. While the mission is fairly straightforward and short, making the right dialogue choices is critical to getting your desired outcome.
How To Start The Ex-Factor Quest In Cyberpunk 2077
To start the Ex-Factor quest in Cyberpunk 2077, you must firstcomplete the ‘Both Sides, Now’ side job, where youfind Evelyn’s dead bodyin Judy’s apartment.
By the end of the quest, Judy remarks that she plans to take revenge on Oswald Forrest and will ask you toleave her alonefor some time.
There isno other wayto start the Ex-Factor quest without completing the ‘Both Sides, Now’ quest.
After completing this quest,wait for Judy’s message and calland steer clear of her apartment before you talk to her. Once Judy calls you and asks for your cooperation, agree to help her, which willstart the Ex-Factor quest.
You cannot play the Ex-Factor quest line if you don’tagree to help Judy during this call. You will also lose the opportunity to romance Judy later in the game.
How To Find Oswald In The Ex-Factor Quest
To complete the Ex-Factor quest in Cyberpunk 2077,head to the Megabuilding H8and meet Judy at the Cloud’s terrace in the early morning hours. From the building’s entrance, turn left andselect the ‘12: Clouds’ floorin the elevator.
Even if youreach the terracebefore or after the early morning hours, you canwait for Judy to arriveby using the conveniently placed chair at the destination.
After exiting the elevator,take a sharp left and continueto walk on this side of the building until you reach a dead end; hop over the wall, take a left, and go straight until yousee a ladder on your right.
Once you climb the ladder, walk towards your left to reach the Cloud’s Terrace, where Judy will be waiting for you.
Before you head inside, you will have a few dialogue options with Judy, where she’ll explain how she needs you to navigate the conversation with Maiko. After talking to Judy, tell her you’re ready,head inside, and talk to Maiko.
During the conversation with Maiko,avoid selecting the ‘Waste of Time’ optionand always select the passive options since Maiko will discreetly give you some valuable information by the end of the dialogue if youmaintain a non-hostile tone.
Since Judy plans on asking Maiko’s help to take over the Clouds, she will make her a proposition, but sinceMaiko is too scared to join Judy’s plan, she will politely decline.
However,if you didn’t kill Oswaldin the ‘Automatic Love’ quest, Maiko will tell you that Oswald Forrest is taking a break at the maintenance area as you are about to leave.
If you killed OswaldForrest in the Automatic Love quest, you would not get the last information from Maiko, and thequest would end shortlyafter the dialogue.
How To Complete The Ex-Factor Quest in Cyberpunk 2077
Once youcomplete the dialogue with Miako, head back to the elevator with Judy and start a dialogue with her. Before exiting through the elevator, you may either pay no heed to Oswald or you cankill him by paying him a visitto the maintenance floor.
If you decide to kill Oswald Forrest, take the elevator with Judy to the maintenance floor to find him. Once youdecide to attack him, it will trigger a mini-boss fight, which isn’t too difficult to complete.
By the end of the fight, you cantake the elevator backto the ‘Ground Floor’ to exit the building without any hindrance.
