As you explore the world ofLego Fortnite, you’ll encounter different biomes, enemies, andfind villagers to join your town. You’ll want to explore the world and collect new materials to develop buildings and improve your weapons, so you may want to go through caves to find something new.
However, the game doesn’t make it clear how you find caves. Each time you create a world, the caves are randomized, meaning you’ll need to search again to find what you want. However, you have a few ways to find caves, keep track of them, and visit the areas to get the materials you want.

How To Find Caves
Caves can be found in the three biomes:The Grasslands, Frostlands, and Dry Valley. They are rounded stone structures with a dark entryway.
Tips For Looking For Caves
You should start byclimbing the tallest thing you’re able to find, including hills, cliffs, or destroyed buildings. You should thenlook for stone cave structuresand go toward them.
If you can’t find a hill or building, you canbuild a Log Lookout withtwo Planksand seven Wood.

Mark the elevated location to backtrack to it as needed, then go to the stone structureand check around it. You can mark the location by opening your Build menu and selecting Map Marker, which requires two Granite.
If it’s a cave, perfect! If it isn’t, you can return to the lookout spot and search again. If you don’t see one nearby, move to another high location to check for more caves.

How To Mark Caves On Your Map
Once you find a cave, you don’t have to mark it on your map. You just need toget close to the cave, and the game will automatically leave a cave symbol. If you’re standing near the cave, your character’s icon will cover it on the map, so step away to ensure the mark appears.
Lava Caves are an exception to this rule, as they do not appear marked on the map.
What Can You Find In Caves?
Caves will offerdifferent materials depending on the biome, though there are some materials and enemies that appear in all cave types. All caves contain chests with randomized items, making them worth checking for seeds, arrows, equipment, and more. Consider building a house with a bed near caves, allowing you to run back in and collect your backpack if you die.
Keep in mind that you’ll need to upgrade your tools to collect some of the rarer items, such as using anUncommon Forest Axe on Knotroots.
For caves in the Frostlands and Dry Valley, you’ll also need to deal with the extreme cold and heat, so prepare accordingly.
Lava Caves are very dangerous as the enemies within can one-shot you with dynamite and other explosive attacks if you are not well equipped.
