Mount Qaf is a dangerous place to be inPrince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Not only is it filled with corrupted creatures and soldiers driven mad by being lost in time, but there are a myriad of traps and puzzles that exist to keep intruders out.

Some of these puzzles hide more than just a way to progress, though, and that’s just the way their creator intended it. Some of them are special and have treasures hidden within them, but it’s going to take a lot of exploring and an equal amount of brains and brawn to solve the Architect’s puzzles.

How To Start The Architect Side Quest

To start The Architect, you’ll first need tofind the Architect herself, and you can find her in asmall room marked by a bowl-like shapein a massive roomlocated in theUpper City.

You’ll need to haveprogressed in the story far enoughtoobtain the Fabric In Time powerto reach this room.

Once you reach the correct room,head down to theright cornerandcross over the spikes using the Fabric of Time, and go inside the room.Speak with Maryam,the Architect, and she’ll be surprised to see a warrior after so long.

Turns out Maryam is the creative mind behind many of the traps, mechanisms, and puzzles in Mount Oaf.

In return for honoring her, she gives you a task:find all her hidden treasures, and she’lllet you into her workshop.

How To Find The First Treasure

One of the easiest treasures to find is located in theLower Cityin a large room marked by a standing figure with wings.

Starting fromThe Haven fast travel point, headleft out of the room, goacross the elevator,and through the left doorway again. A few steps into the room, you’ll findtwo statues aiming their bowsinto the air.

Use your bow andshoot an arrow into the empty space between both statuesand your firstmystery chestwillappear on the metal platebetween the statues. For solving the puzzle, you’ll obtain theZurvan’s Voice amulet.

How To Find The Second Treasure

Thesecond mystery chestyou can find is in theHyrcanian Forest, and it’s located in asmall rectangular roomwith a Wak-Wak tree justone room southof theForest Ruinsfast travel point, near a shortcut point.

You can also reach the area specified bystarting from The Haven fast travel point, exiting to the right, goingacross the vertical room, taking the exit in the top right corner,andthencontinuing all the way rightinto Hyrcanian Forest.

For this puzzle, you’ll need to do a bit of lawn care: you’ll need to totallycut down allfour patches of red grasson the platformsbefore they can grow back.

Each patch of grass takesaround three seconds to regrow, and it can becut by any weapon: sword, chakram, and bow.

How To Find The Third Treasure

Thethird mystery chestis located in theSacred Archives, in a small rectangular room justabove the large vertical roommarked by ahalf-open eyeball.

From theSacred Archives fast travel point, exit out thepathway in the bottom right cornerof the roomleading downwards, and head down into the room. Take thesecond exit in the bottom rightcorner, and you’ll be in the puzzle room.

For this puzzle, all you’ll need to do issit in the empty spotwhere one of the Mad Alchemists used to be.

Stand over the marked spot, and thencrouch down in placeto solve the puzzle, and receive anotherSoma Tree Petal.

How To Find The Fourth Treasure

Maryam’sfourth treasureis hidden in theTower of Silence, and theclosest fast travel pointto start from is theTomb Entrance.

Jump downfrom the fast travel point room andcontinue heading downwardsuntil you reach theroom marked by tilted pillarswith platforms on them.

Take theexit at the bottomof this room, and you’llfind thepuzzle areaon the right side of the roomon the bridge.

Solving this puzzle requires you toposition yourselfso that thestructure looks wholeand thenthrow your chakram into the centerof it.

You’ll need to be on theright side of the structure, and if it’slined up properly, you’ll get your reward: anotherSoma Tree Petal.

How To Find The Fifth Treasure

Thefifth mystery chestis in thePit of Eternal Sands, and its puzzle is in alarge room southof theSentinel’s Road fast travel point.

Starting at theWak-Wak treeright next to it,jump downinto the pathway leadingthrough the floorandfollow the path downto the room.

You’ll end up in aroom with two large statuesand acrushing trap near the metal platethat uses thesnake-headed pillarsseen elsewhere in the region.

Tosolve this puzzle, you’ll need tocrush an enemy between the snake-headed pillars,specificallyany one of the severalstone-based enemies, such as thestone-statue warriorsthat are occasionally found alongbridges and outside areasin theUpper City.

One such enemy can be foundon the groundnear theNight Temple fast travel point.

Once you have onegrabbed with Dimensional Claw, bring itback to the puzzle roomand deposit it in the free spacewhere the trap triggers.

The snake-headed pillars willcrush the enemy, and you’ll be able to get amystery chestcontaining anotherSoma Tree Petal.

How To Find The Sixth Treasure

Thesixth mystery chestis located in theSunken Harbor, not too far from thelocation of another side quest objective. From thePirate Village fast travel point, exit the room to the right and head to thevertical room with hanging platforms.

Leave that room viathe exit on the right wall, and continueright and down past the Wak-Wake treeand into thelarge room. Take theright pathway into the small room, and you’ll arrive at the puzzle.

Solving this puzzle requiresbeating this game of tic-tac-toe, and you’ll need tothrow your chakraminto theempty slot in the top left cornerof the board, but you aren’t done just yet.

The chest that appears isactually a Mimic, and you’llneed to defeat it. It primarily tries to lash you with its tongue while hopping around, throws axes at you, and cancharge at you as an unstoppable move.

Defeat the Mimic, and you’ll get your reward from the puzzle: theArd’s Fortune amulet.

How To Find The Seventh Treasure

Another of Maryam’s treasures is hidden at theSoma Tree, and you’llneed theDimensional ClawTime Powerin particular to complete its puzzle.

From theSoma Tree fast travel point, exit out of theleft doorwayandfollow the path upwardspast the exploring purple bulbs.

Grab one of the exploding bulbswith the Dimensional Claw on the way, then stop once you reach thetop of the hill halfway through the room.

Jump overonto the ruins andslide into the area to the left, and you’ll find yourself in anotherroom with platforms, exploding bulbs, and awall you’ll need to break downwith a bulb.

Blow up the wall, thencontinue throughuntil you see aswirling purple doorway.

Go through it, and you’llfind another plateand another of Maryam’s puzzles. To solve this puzzle, you’ll need toposition the statues correctly.

You canread the tablet on the leftside of the roomfor a hintabout where or how to position the statues.

Anothermystery chest will appear on the platein the center, and you’ll receive a valuableAzure Damascus Ingotfrom the chest.

How To Find The Eighth Treasure

Theeighth mystery chestis located inThe Depths, and it’s close to theScrapper’s Hideout fast travel pointon the map.

Starting there,leave the room via the right pathwayand follow it until you’re able to godown through the platformand to the right again.

In thevertical roomwith breakable platforms,take the right exitand follow it to a small room withtwo round red faceplates.

You’ll need tolight up both faceplatesat the same time usingKalux’s light. First, jump up andmake a Shadow of Simurghclose to theright faceplate.

Then, jump over andlight up the left faceplatewith the real Sargon tomake the chest appear. You’ll get theShockwave amuletas a reward.

How To Find The Ninth Treasure

Theninth mystery chestis located in theSacred Archives, and you canreach the puzzle roomby starting at theTemple of Knowledge fast travel point.

From the statue,exit the room through the left doorwayand continueall the way leftuntil you reach alarge, rectangular roomfilled with athree-by-three squareof black-and-redtracking block pads.

For this puzzle, you’ll need tomake a specific patternout of the tracking blockswithout dyingto any of them. Thetop two blocks on the right column, thetwo center middle blocks, and thebottom middle blockneedto be filled in.

Onepossible routeishinted at by the directions on the block padsthemselves, but you’refree to do it in any orderas long as you make the pattern.

As areward for solving the puzzle, you’ll get another mystery chest that contains anAmulet Holder.

How To Complete The Architect Side Quest

With allnine mystery chests located, your quest will update, and you’ll need toreturn to Maryamin theUpper City. Go back to her room near the Night Temple, and you’ll haveone last puzzle to solve.

So far,each of the mystery chestsyou’ve found has had anumber and a symbol, and theymatch up with the floating tabletsrotating around. Use your bow tohit each symbol in orderfrom one to nine.

Using your chakramwill hit the symbols too much andcause the sequence to fail.

Onceall the tablets are lit up, Maryam and you will briefly discuss the nature of her inventions, and she’ll tell you that you canenter her workshop.

Inside Maryam’s workshop, you can pick upthree collectible items: theAstronomical Mechanism,Mathematical Formula Calculator, andOfficial Scroll: Royal Decreein the first section.

In themiddle of the room, you’ll find Maryam andanother collectible item,The Architect and the King, and on thefar right end, you’ll receive aSoma Tree Flower.
