Thanks to the corruption of time within Mount Qaf, a variety of characters are lost in more ways than one inPrince of Persia: The Lost Crown. One of them is a man convinced that the moon has been broken into pieces, and wants to return it to its rightful place in the sky.
As one of the few people able to traverse Mount Qaf without being lost in time, it’s up to you to help the people stranded here while on your quest. If you want to find the moon’s pieces, you’ll have to search far and wide across Mount Qaf, and maybe do some rescuing too.
How To Start The Moon Gatherer Side Quest
To get the Moon Gatherer’s side quest, you’ll first need toreach the Sacred Archives, and eithermake your way down to the prisonmanually orget captured by the jailers and teleportedthere.
Navigate your way through, taking out the enemies as you need, andmake your way upto alarge roomfilled with several Mad Alchemist enemies, andstaircases that change heightwhen you change direction.
Need another way in? you’re able to also reach this area by starting from theSacred Archives fast travel pointanddescendingto the same room.
Make your way down to thesmall pathway in the bottom left cornerof the room, and you’llfind a blue moon symbolsurrounded by mist.
Continue through the doorway,break down the wooden wall, and you’llfind the Moon Gathererhiding behind a barricade of debris.Speak with him, and he’ll inform you that someone’sbroken the moon into pieces, and he needs your help to recover them.
After speaking with him, he’ll run out of the room, and you’ll officiallybegin the Moon Gathererside quest.
You canfind hintsfor eachmoon piece’s locationbychecking the quest’s tabin your menu.
How To Find The First Moon
Thefirst piece of the Moonthat the Moon Gatherer needs your help with islocated in The Depths, in a room filled with sludge.
To find this room,start from eithertheScrapper’s Hideout fast travel point, Scrapper, theXerxes' vendor’s room, or from thenearby Wak-Wak tree.
Head to theroom below all threepoints, andfollow the pathways to the right and downuntil you reach alarge room marked by two gearsand liquid. Instead of going down,take the path on the upper left side, and keep going until youreach a long vertical drop.
Carefully make your way down anddrop into the small room, thencontinue up and to the rightuntil you reach aroom with a dead end.
This room isflooded with sludge, and you’ll need to use acombination of your dash,the poles, and theShadow of Simurgh, so you canpull down two switches.
Once the sludge is gone, godown to the corner,interact with the round door,and free the Moon Gatherer to progress.
How To Find The Second Moon
Thesecond moon pieceyou’ll need to find is in theSunken Harbor, in alarge roomwith tons ofbroken debris, specifically thefront half of a shattered ship.
From thePirate Village fast travel pointor the nearby Wak-Wak tree, headleft into the vertical room, and take thebottom right path. You’ll end up in amassive vertical room, and you’ll need tohead downto theright path near the middleof the room.
You’ll end up in aroom marked by hanging platforms. Keep following theroute upwards, then take thefirst pathway on your rightinto another large room.
If youcontinue to the topof thehanging platform room, you canunlock a shortcutback to thePirate Village fast travel pointby going down theleft path.
Take the path downinto asmall room with a Wak-Wak tree, save and recover if you need to, thendrop into the large roomfull of debris.
The Moon Gatherer will be sitting on the bow of a broken ship, but you’ll need tofight off two small crabsand anon-boss version of the Giant Crab.
Interact with the ship’s bowafter defeating them to rescue the Moon Gatherer, and he’llrun off to the next locationyou’ll need to find.
How To Find The Third Moon
Thenext available moon pieceis located in thePit of Eternal Sands, and you canonly reach this areaonce you’veobtained both the Dimensional ClawandClairvoyanceTime Powers.
You’ll also need to haveprogressed throughtheir relatedmain story quest,The Path to the Sand Prison.
Starting from thearea where you landed initially, head over to theleft side of the roomandtake thesmall pathin thebottom left-handcornerthat leads downward.
After you drop into amassive room markedby a set ofbuildings and hills, continue heading down until youreach themiddle of the area, close to where another path leads further down, andtake that path further down.
Stop before you go down to the next room andbreak the wall on the leftwhere Moon Gatherer’s voice is coming from.Follow the path upwards, andbreak a set of large pots on the leftto free the Moon Gatherer.
You canfind a Spirited-Sand Jarhiddenbehind a set of potsto theright of where the Moon Gatherer was.
How To Find The Fourth Moon
Thenext moonyou’ll need to find is in theTower of Silence, and you’ll need to havebeaten Azhada in the Pit of Eternal Sandsandobtained the Gravity Wings Time Powerin order to gain access to the area, as well asreceive the Fabric of Time powerby completing several main story quests.
Starting from thesecond Wak-Wak treeunlocked in theTower of Silenceor from theTomb Entrance fast travel point, make your way to thelarge room marked by two falling rocks.
If youhaven’t unlocked the shortcut, you canreach this areaby starting at thesame Wak-Wak tree, andtaking the path to the right, andcoming back aroundto where thebridge would let you out.
Either pass by the gravekeeper or kill them, thenfollow the path downward via the slopes, being careful not to get hit by the large ice rocks. At the bottom, you’llfind two more gravekeepersto kill, but the one you’ll need ison the middle platform.
Defeat the gravekeeper, and you’llfree the Moon Gathererfrom the grave on its back.Speak to him once last time, and he’ll tell you he’s searching for a spot to stargaze from. In return for your hard work, he’llgive you an upgradethatincreases your max number of potions.
