When it comes to creating your perfect island resort on Dondoko Island inLike a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you’re going to need some hard-earned cash to do it. Unfortunately, you can’t use normal money on the island, you’ll have to earn some Dokobucks instead.
You’re given 10,000 Dokobucks by Matayoshi shortly after unlocking the island, but you’ll need more to upgrade your tools, pay to clear out sections of the island and expand, as well as buy furnishings and other additions. Here’s how to earn yourself some sweet Dokobucks so you can splash your cash on lots of new upgrades.
Complete Dondoko Dailies
You’ll be givena set of tasks called Dondoko Dailies every day. These can vary from catching/gathering a certain number of items or specialities, speaking to specific NPCs, crafting or placing DIYs, and more. You’ll normally earn about 700+ Dokobucks per task, with rewards increasing as you level up your island ranking.
Try and complete them quickly as you don’t want to miss any or find yourself having to stay up late into the night to do them, leaving Kasuga with exhaustion the next day.
Complete Suggestion Box Missions
You can find theSuggestion Box missions listed in your menu, and completing each one will earn you a nice sum of Dokobucks. These missions are mostly presented in stages, so once you earn the Dokobucks for reaching the first milestone, the same objective will have a new, increased milestone to work towards.
Lower milestone missions are usually 3-20k Dokobucks, with some of the higher-end and more extensive missions offering upwards of 500k Dokobucks.
Additional Suggestion Box missions will become available as you progressthrough the Donodoko Island storyline and unlock new content. For example, once you unlock the ability to create Souvenirs, there will be Suggestion Box missions tied to Souvenirs.
Sell Items And Specialties
You’ll be gathering resources every day by clearing out trash piles, breaking rocks and trees, and collecting specialties, such as fish and bugs. You cansell specialties or items you craft from resources to Matayoshiin his shop.
There are a few buildings you can craft early on that only require basic materials yet sell for many Dokobucks, so a nice way to get some fast cash is to whip up a DIY building and sell it to Matayoshi.
Satisfy Your Guests
Once guests start staying on your island,you’ll earn money from them at the end of their stay. You can increase the amount of Dokobucks you earn from each resident by payinhg attention to items and themed furnishings they like, and tailoring your islands and gifts to their taste toraise their satisfaction level.
Placing buildings and other interactable furnishings can also increase the amount your guests spend, because they will spend money at different buildings, while some buildings and items may have the Dokobucks UP effect.
Defeat Washbucklers
You’ll need to defend the island from marauding Washbucklers anyway, and while you won’t want to delay to avoid them attacking your lodgings, you should be keen to defeat them asthey’ll drop Dokobucks too! Be gone foul Washbuckler!
Dondoko Farm
Once you’ve achieved a two-star rank island, you’ll unlock Dondoko Farm, which isarguably the best way to earn Dokobucks.
At Dondoko Farm, you canuse your Sujimon to set them tasks at four different facilities: the workshop, the crop patches, the recyling center, and the training spot. Setting them tasks willearn you Dokobucks as well as EXP for your Sujimon.
Collect Resources From The Recycle Area
Another easy win is to make sure you just visit the Recyling Area after day once you’ve unlocked it (shortly after clearing out your first couple of areas) as each time you collect the resources,you’ll earn some Dokobuckstoo.
