The best part is, that there are tons of ways to have your Sims create a legacy with legacy challenges. The Zodiac Challenge is just one of these legacy challenges, where you can curate each Sim’s story to what you want. With the right tips and instructions, you can enjoy each generation of the Zodiac Challenge and have a successful legacy by the end.
What Is The Zodiac Legacy Challenge?
The Zodiac Legacy Challenge,created byautumnalpixelsand posted to theMod The Sims forums, isa 12-generation legacy challengethat has you live as a Sim of each one of the twelve astrological Zodiac signs.
Each generation isa different star sign, with theirpersonalityandgoalsreflecting the traits of thatZodiac sign. You will have a set of tasks to complete for each Sim in the challenge before they die.
There are 12 Sims in the legacy:Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpius, Sagittarius,andCapricorn.
Zodiac Challenge Rules
There are some rules you’ll need to follow for each generation in the legacy:
Other than these rules, and completing the goals for each generation, you have creative freedom.
If you don’t have a specific pack required for a generation, you are also free to change the goalsof that generation. Just so long as they match up with the story.
The Sim for each generation can beany gender, sexuality,andraceyou’d like. Any children they have can be biological or adopted, whatever your preference. They can also be inany worldyou’d like.
Leader of the Pack (must complete aspiration)
Politician (must reach level 10, either branch)
Other Goals
The Aquarius Sim is a little strange, but that’s not a bad thing. The Aquarius is passionate about many topics and wants to make their life and other Sims' lives better.
Even though this Sim iserratic, they areconfidentand able to get what they want. This will make getting to the top of thePoliticiancareer a bit easier with their traits. However, verify they leave time to socialize, as well.
You don’t have to have your Sim meet your spouse and make good friends at their club meeting, but it does make it a bit easier.
Painter (must reach level 10, either branch)
The Pisces Sim isa social Sim at heartand loves to be surrounded by people. However, they’re also a bit sensitive and can be insecure at times. Despite wanting a soulmate, they can’t seem to hold down a relationship.
Focusing on thePaintingskill early will make it easy for this Sim to advance to the top of their career. It’s also a good idea to have them start dating in their teens, so they can have those two partners before finding the one.
Don’t forget about the pool. Even though it seems a bit random, Pisces is a water sign, so this Sim probably likes to be near the water.
Renaissance Sim (must complete aspiration)
Secret Agent (must reach level 10, either branch)
The Aries Sim ishardworking and competitive but can be full of themselves. So much so, that it’s made it difficult for them to make friends in their youth. It’s up to you to save this Sim’s relationships before it’s too late.
It will take a long time to fix the Aries Sim’s relationship with their sibling, so try not to get it too low. Just low enough to be enemies. You also don’t have to improve to be best friends, just so it’s not antagonistic.
This Sim will have aharder time filling the social need, so use objects like children’s toys to help them out.
Mansion Baron (must complete aspiration)
Business or Culinary (must reach level 10, any branch)
The Taurus Simloves good food. Cooking is an art for them, and it helps bring the people they love together. However, they are also a bit stubborn, so don’t tell them a dish is wrong. They’re also romantic, and being stubborn can get in the way of this.
While reaching the top of theSingingskill is part of the goals, it won’t hurt to also reach level ten of theCookingskill if you’re going with theCulinarycareer.
This will be a bit easier than aBusinesscareer since your Sim is cooking so often. It will help level the skill higher and make it easier to advance in the career.

Party Animal (must complete aspiration)
The Gemini Sim hasnever quite fit in. While they had an ideal life growing up, they always felt like they wanted more. So, the Gemini packed up and left to begin anew, but life is harder than it seems. Hosting parties is the only way they find happiness.
The Gemini Sim will require a bit moremicromanagingto successfully hit all the goals required. While hitting level three of the skills doesn’t take too much work, make sure you decide early which ones you want them to be.
You can also pickany three careersto have before quitting and freelancing.
After getting caught cheating, it is up to you if you want the Gemini Sim to work things out with their spouse, or divorce.
Super Parent (must complete aspiration)
The Cancer Sim isall about family. Being the best parent they can be is the ultimate goal, with almost every task dedicated to keeping this up. But, they can end up being a bit overbearing for their children to handle.
This Simcannot make their own moneyfrom a career. They live entirely off of their parents until they get married and are a house spouse only.
However, no career gives them plenty of time to build the skills needed and host their tea parties. For this generation,focus energy on your children.
Musical Genius/Master Actor (must complete aspiration)
Entertainer/Actor (must reach level 10, Musician branch if Entertainer)
The Leo Sim grew up with overbearing parents, leading them to be therebel type. This Sim wants to make it big, to be famous and loved by all. While this goal is the dream, this Sim could be missing out on what’s really important.
Because the Leo Sim had such overbearing parents, they have the opposite parenting style.Don’t spend lots of time nurturingyour accidental baby, and spend more timefocusingon yourcareerinstead.
It will be easy to advance because your Sim has no partner to keep happy, although they can date around if they’d like.
If you have theGet Famousexpansion pack, your Sim can instead focus on being anactorinstead of amusician. If you don’t have the expansion, don’t worry about reaching level ten in the Acting skill.
The Curator (must complete aspiration)
Scientist (must reach level 10)
The Virgo Sim didn’t have much of a parent growing up, making them more content by themselves. Even thoughthis Sim is cautious, they’re also curious and love to gain knowledge. Their job brings them to meet the love of their life.
This Sim is all about knowledge, and to be successful in theScientistcareer, make sure you’re leveling up theLogicskill. They can marry any Sim they meet at work, so long as they share one trait.
The fight with their spouse can be about anything, and it’s up to you if you want the two to get back together, or divorce after the separation.
Big Happy Family (must complete aspiration)
Social Media/Gardener (must reach level 10, any branch)
Unlike their parents, the Libra Simthrives on socialization and family. They’re so enthusiastic about it, that it can be a bit much to handle. But, this Sim is a great parent who isn’t afraid to get down and dirty with their kids, even if romance is tough for them.
Because the Libra Sim can receivenegative moodletsfrom beingstuck inside, it’s important to keep them out in thewilderness.
Place all their plants outside to give them plenty of time outdoors. Additionally, have their kids help with their projects to get the family close together.
Nerd Brain (must complete aspiration)
Detective (must reach level 10)
The Scorpio Sim spent their childhood watching crime fighters on TV, and that’s what they want to do:bring justice to the world. That’s why they’ve chosen to be adetectiveorpolice officer. However, focusing so much on work has put a strain on their marriage.
Since this Sim will have big marriage problems, it’s okay for them to focus onbuilding up their skillsand reaching the top of their career. That’s what the story is supposed to be. Don’t be afraid to neglect the family a little bit.
However, it might be helpful to find a close coworker to marry as an Elder.
It’s up to you if you want the Scorpio Sim to lose their kids in the divorce, or keep seeing them. Whatever you think works best for your story.
Outgoing, Noncommittal, Dance Machine
Aspiration
Friend of the World or Archeology Scholar/Jungle Explorer (must complete aspiration)
The Sagittarius Sim isall about freedom and traveling. They want to get out, explore the world, and enjoy their life. Similar to the Gemini Sim, though, they can have a hard time making commitments.
Since this Sim likes totravelandparty, it can be difficult if decide to keep the children they have living with them. These kids can be from one-night stands or short relationships.
It will be much easier to master theDancingandComedyskills than parent, because they are at thenightcluball the time.
If you have theJungle Adventuregame pack, this Sim will want to spend some time inSelvadorato be able to complete theJungle ExplorerorArcheology Scholaraspiration.
Tech Guru (must reach level 10, either branch)
The Capricorn Sim hated how flighty their parent was. Because of this,they have a strict schedule and want to stick to it. They’re a bit snobby and surround themselves with like-minded Sims only.
Because the Capricorn is the final generation, it’s up to you whether they have any kids. However, it’s much easier to meet all the other goals if they don’t have to worry about offspring. The choice is up to you.
Once the Capricorn Sim passes away, and you’ve met all their goals, you’ve successfully completed the challenge.
