How To Beat Venoflage In Tales Of Arise: Beyond The Dawn
As touched on above,Venoflage has a handful of gimmicksyou must keep an eye out for unless you want to get flattened in a split-second, leaving you wondering what just happened.
Furthermore, sinceVenoflage has no Weaknesses and isn’t Resistant to anything, mostlyany Party Combination will work, having us settle for the tried-and-true Alphen, Shionne, Rinwell, and Law setup. Youwill need a healerfor this encounter, so make sure you haveat least Shionne or Dohalimpresent.

Lastly, while spammingBoost Attacksthe moment they come available may seem like a good idea, pleaserefrain from using Alphen’s or Kisara’s until specifiedin the guide, as they areCRUCIAL to your success!
Phase One: Venoflage Invisibility & Reappearance
After the encounter begins and you get a few hits in,Venoflage will turn invisible before reappearing behind everyonein the Party, showcasing one of its gimmicks early on in the battle. Youwill remain locked onto them, but it can be a bit disorientingto deal with at first. But this will give you plenty of time to get used to it!
Phase One: Alphen Boost Break
Once Venoflage reappears, you should haveAlphen’s Boost Attackready to go, so use it to cause aBoost Break, temporarily stunning Venoflage. Here, you canunleash everything you’ve got onto them, shaving away large chunks of their health!
Phase One: Venoflage Invisibility & Reappearance (Part Two)
When Venoflage recovers, they willdo a few basic attacks before going invisible again and reappearing behind the groupyet again. Like before, Venoflage won’t do a follow-up attack here, so you don’t have to worry about taking much damage here from them. Just run over toward them for the next step!
Phase One: Alphen Boost Break (Part Two)
Enough time has passed thatAlphen should have his Boost Attackback, enabling him to cause anotherBoost Break, allowing him and the rest of the Party tounleasheverything they haveon them once more forenormous damage!
Phase One: Venoflage Poison Mist
Upon recovery, Venoflage will shake things up a bit and beginemitting Poison Mist from its body, covering asizable areaaround itself.Avoid going near Venoflagehere at all costs, as beingPoisonedcan be detrimental if not treated properly!
Poison can be Cured via Artes, Consumables, or by waiting for its effects to wear off naturally.

Phase One: Venoflage Invisibility & Reappearance (Part Three)
Next, Venoflage willgo invisible yet again before reappearing behind your entire Party. Here, don’t use a Boost Ability. Instead, use basic attacks and Artes to get its health down halfwayafter it reappears!
Phase One: Boost Strike To The Second Phase
With Venoflage’s health down halfway, you must activate aBoost Strike, transitioning the encounter to thesecond phase, where Venoflage has several more abilities. But first, be sure totake advantage of them being temporarily stunnedto chip away a sizable chunk of its health!
Phase Two: Venoflage Invisibility
After Venoflage recovers from the Boost Strike, it willturn invisible again before reappearing behind your party. However, something is a bit different…
Phase Two: Venoflage Roar & Charge
Once Venoflage reappears behind everyone after going invisible, they willlet out a deafening roar before charging forwardwith tremendous force, speed, and power. This attack hurts if you get run over, so avoid that at all costs!
Phase Two: Kisara Boost Break
To counter this attack, you can finallyuse Kisara’s Boost AttackwhenVenoflage begins charging, having her place her shield down in front of him, causing aBoost Break. This willtemporarily stunthem as well, enabling you tofollow up with an onslaught of attacksfor substantial damage!
Phase Two: Venoflage Electric Mist & Electric Spit
Following that, Venoflage will beginreleasing Electrified Mist from its body, whichcauses Paralysis to anyone it comes in contact with, which can spell disaster.
Not only that butimmediately after releasing the Mist, Venoflage will begin launching blobs of Electrified Spitfrom its mouth toward you, forcing you to dodge them as well.

To avoid getting annihilated here, themoment you see Venoflage begin releasing the Electrified Mist, run away from it as far as you’re able to,thenturn around and run back in the opposite direction after they leap toward you. From there, you will only have tododge the incoming blobsof Spit!
Paralysis can be Cured via Artes, Consumables, or by waiting for its effects to wear off naturally.

Phase Two: Venoflage Stalagmite
Shortly after they launch the barrage of Electrified Secretions at you, Venoflage willbegin casting Stalagmite, which is telegraphed by aPurple Circle that slowly fills up.When you see this circle appear, run behind or to the side of them immediately,as when it fills up completely, Venoflage willlaunch the attack straight aheadof itself.
Take this time tolay into Venoflage, as they are defenseless while casting Stalagmite and shortly after, giving you ample time to get lots of attacks in and deal substantial damage!

Phase Two: Venoflage Invisibility (Part Two)
Following that, Venoflage willgo invisible yet again and will appear behind everyoneas per usual. But don’t get too close to them, as this is the second phase after all!
Phase Two: Venoflage Roar & Charge (Part Two)
Like last time, whenVenoflage reappears,it willlet out an enraged roar before charging around the arena, causing mass damage to anyone and everything in its path!
Phase Two: Kisara Boost Break (Part Two)
And, just like last time again, it’s time tofinally use Kisara’s Boost Strike againto cause anotherBoost Break, crumpling Venoflage to the floor, enabling you tounleash everything you have on itfor significant damage!
Phase Two: Venoflage Electric Mist & Electric Spit (Part Two)
From here, Venoflage willbegin emitting Electric Mist from its body before launching Electrified Spit at everyoneagain. This will behandled the same way, except Venoflage willbegin moving backward while lobbing the blobs of spitat you, making ita bit trickier to dodge or close the gapon it!
Phase Two: Boost Strike For The Win
Finally, once Venoflage is done trying to hit you with Electrified Spit, you canclose in on it and unleash the last few attacksyou need to on it, bringing its health down the entire way, enabling you to perform thefinishing Boost Striketo defeat it!
