Most of your journey while trying to finish the main quest ofPrince Of Persia: The Lost Crownwill be quite easy since you just have to find the right path and defeat a few enemies. However, one thing that’ll take a lot of time in the game is beating the main bosses.
As you reach certain parts of the game, you’ll go against many bosses each having their unique set of attacks. The fight against Orod is arguably one of the hardest because of how much he limits your movement.

Orod Attack Pattern
The reason why the fight against Orod is one of the hardest is becausehe launches attacks at a fast pace, and each attack can deal a ton of damage. You have to pay attention to his movements and dodge every attack if you want to live in this fight:
First Phase
Come On, Betrayer
Whenever you start a new fight against Orod, it’ll usually start with this attack where hesays “Come On, Betrayer” as he dashes across the battlefield swiftly. This is a red attack, and you can’t parry it.
If you take damage from this attack, a special animation plays out and you take a ton of damage. However, it caneasily be avoided by jumping as soon as you hear those words.

Ground Smash
This is a series of red attacks from Orod where hefirst slides his weapon through the ground and jumps up. Once in the air, he swiftly smashes back on the ground, dealing massive AoE damage.
Finally, awave erupts at the location of contact that goes across the battlefield. This attack also gets buffed in the second phase where Orod can pull himself to your location while smashing the ground.

Spinning Attack
In this attack, Orod goes high up in the air andlaunches his weapon at the ground as it rotates in a circle. Much like the attack in Kiana’s fight, this weapon also comes back to him after a moment.
However, the main difference is that this is ared attack and you can’t parry the circling weapon. Simply jump when he first launches it and then get behind Orod before it returns to prevent damage.

Normal Attack
You won’t see this attack very often, butit’s the only attack that you can parry from Orod. He’s one of the few bosses without a yellow attack, so it’s important to capitalize on these and parry them.
Orod will perform two normal attacks consecutivelywhenever he does this attack.

Second Phase
New Weapon Spin Attack
You’ll only see this attack in phase two, and in it, Orod will first dig his new dual weapon into the ground and thenperform a spinning attack with a much larger AoEthan a normal spinning attack.
It’s quite hard to dodge this attack if you’re not prepared for it. Sometimes, when Orod digs his weapon in the ground farther away,he can also just pull himself forward.

Area Denial
If you see Orod standing in position and charging a red attack, it’s time to run since he’s probably going to perform the Area Denial attack. In this attack,he constantly moves his weapon in a sphere around him.
If you get hit by this once, you’ll take constant damageuntil the attack ends.

Counter Attack
This is a special counterattack that Orod can perform by randomly dodging your attack and landing in the middle of the battlefield. In it, he’ll formtwo waves of attacks on the ground for a couple of seconds each.
You have to stay airborne for quite a long time to dodge this,so use your double jump and dash as slowly as possible.

Cyclone Attack
This is the most interesting attack from Orod where he creates a giant cyclone that getsdivided into two and quickly runs across the battlefield on each side. You can only dodge this attack by using the Shadow ability.
Tips To Beat Orod
Even though it might seem like it’s impossible to defeat Orod when you first fight him, especially if your Sargon isn’t upgraded, there are still many weak points you may use:
Once you defeat Orod, you can get the Bahamut’s Rage Athra Surgeand also the ability to call upon the guardian in The Raging Sea.
