Once you get defeated by Vahram and land in The Depths of Mount Qaf inPrince Of Persia: The Lost Crown, you’ll meet an old man who’ll tell you about a way to bring back the prince. However, this method will first require you to get to the bottom part of the Pit of Eternal Sand.

While this is a challenging task itself, it gets even harder when you get to the final boss in this area called Azhdaha. This boss is great at denying certain areas and launching a ton of attacks at you.

Azhdaha Attack Pattern

Most of Azhdaha’s attacks consist of a series of damage-dealing instances, and it’simportant to learn exactly what you have to do to dodge these attacksif you want to get past this fight:

First Phase

Bite Attack

The Azhdaha boss fight usually starts with a bite attack where it charges with red eyes for a moment before slamming its mouth at your current location and biting the area. You can easily dodge it by dashing when you see the red eyes.

There are multiple types of this attack. Sometimes, the bite attack happens right after a tail whip. Moreover, in the second phase,Azhdaha can bite two times consecutively.

Tail Whip

If the boss gets red eyes but doesn’t open its mouth, thisusually means that you’re going to witness the Tail Whip. In this attack, the boss slams its tail on one side of the battlefield and slides it across to the other side.

The only way to dodge this attack is by jumping through it. However,sometimes it’s followed by a bite attack, so be prepared to dash mid-air.

Laser Attack

In this attack, the boss throws a laser from its mouthon one side of the battlefield and then drags it across. you may’t dodge or parry this attack, so the only way to prevent damage is by using the Shadow ability.

In the second phase, this attack gets buffed and the bossalso spawns some stones on the ground after the laser goes by. To prevent damage here, you can use the shadow ability in the air and then quickly dash when you go back to it.

Orb Field

This is another attack that can’t be dodged since the boss spawnsmultiple orbs all across the battlefield that go down in a secondand deal explosive damage. However, you can take one of these orbs using the Dimensional Claw.

This can then be thrown back to the boss' face to deal damage.

Second Phase

Yellow Attack

When the second phase starts as the boss drops to 70 percent health,it’ll start performing this yellow attack at regular intervals. This attack starts with a Tail Whip followed by the boss' face going from one side to another.

Simply jump through the Tail attack and then you canparry the head at the right time to deal significant damage.

Central Projectiles

In this attack, the boss first brings its tail out of the ground in the middle andthen launches multiple projectiles on each side. Once you dodge the tail, you have to use the dash, jump, and air dash mechanics to dodge the projectiles.

If you end up dodging most of them but are about to get hit by one,you may also use the Dimensional Claw to claim it.

Normal Projectiles

Another attack that you can see from the boss in this phase is where itspawns multiple projectiles in the air and throws them at you one by one. You have to use a combination of all your abilities to dodge these.

Tips To Beat Azhdaha

It might seem like the fight against Azhdaha is going to take a long timebecause of the constant attacks and limited movements, but there are a few things you can do to make it faster:

At the end of this fight, you can get a Soma Tree Flower,which instantly gives you a health bar, a bunch of crystals, and four special arrows for the Guardians.
