Just because the starter Pokemon are now available inPokemon Scarlet & Violet, doesn’t mean we’re going to stop getting raids featuring special versions of them, it seems. True to form, this Flying-Tera Blaziken fight is a tough one that takes advantage of the Blaze Pokemon’s strong suits.

If you’ve fought your way through all of Blueberry Academy and are looking for a new challenge, this raid won’t disappoint, and requires you to be very strategic with your build. Blaziken’s so fast it’ll gladly punish you for any mistakes you might make while setting up. A missed move could be a death sentence if you’re not prepared.

The Best Pokemon To Beat Tera Blaziken

Blaziken’s Speed Boost allows it to be a real threat, as by around mid-fightit’ll out speed everything else on the fieldand be able to hit Electric-, Rock-, and Ice-types with super effective moves.

Players struggling with this fight will find themselves in a bind asBlaziken one-shots your team very quickly.

Since Blaziken only focuses on physical Attack and Defense, you’ll want any Pokemon you bring to be aSpecial Attacker with good Defense.Furthermore, they should have a move that hits Flying for super effective damage.

If you find you’re having trouble, you may reset NPCs until you get one with a Staraptor or Tauros for Intimidate. Keep using “battle as a group” until you get the NPC you want, and then you’ll have those same NPCs every time you battle alone.

Bellibolt Wobbles But It Won’t Fall Down

Bellibolt is a great choice for Tera Blaziken, as its bulk allows it to withstand hits very well and it has good support moves. Use the following build:

Electric

252 Def, 252 Sp. Atk, 6 HP

At the start of the battle, use Reflect. Then useAcid Spray three timesuntil you can Terasatalize. When you do, start using Parabolic Charge.

Use Acid Spray again when Blaziken resets its stats, and useReflect whenever it runs out.If needed while lowering Blaziken’s stats, use Parabolic Charge to heal, then go back to Acid Spray.

Reflect won’t be reset when Blaziken resets stats and abilities affecting your side.

Once Blaziken’s stats are lowered again, spam Parabolic Charge to damage Blaziken until it goes down. This strategy will also work in online raids, though be wary if your partners start fainting becauseit will cut the time close.

Go Full Throttle With Miraidon

Miraidon’s monstrous Sp. Attack meansit’s good at taking down Blaziken fast, but you have to get the timing just right. This strategy isnot recommendedfor random online raids.

The timing for this is very specific, because the trick isto lower Blaziken’s Sp. Def before its shield goes up.

Use Metal Sound three times. Even if it misses, use Electro Drift right after Blaziken resets the stats on your side. This will take Blaziken into yellow or red health.

At this point, you will probably faint, but assoon as you can, set up Reflect. Then keep spamming Electro Drift, and switch to Parabolic Charge if you run out of PP or are able to Terastalize.

This is the less reliable of the two methods, but it allows you to faint a lot because the timer is so ahead of the HP bar that the chunks you lose from fainting won’t matter.
