Warframe’sWhispers in the Walls update introduced Qorvex to the Warframe roster. This radioactive rock golem destroys targets through the power of Radiation damage, irradiating enemies with pillars and containment walls before detonating them with a powerful energy blast. If you love firing lasers or want a version of Wisp’s Sol Gate that’s actually good, Qorvex is the Warframe for you.

After completing some bounties in the Sanctum Anatomica, you will be able to purchase this Warframe’s components and craft him with ease. Qorvex is a surprisingly easy Warframe to earn if you’re far enough in Warframe’s storyline, and he’s a solid DPS character if you use the right build. Let’s go over how to get him, what each ability does, and showcase some of Qorvex’s best builds.

Warframe Bird 3

How To Craft Qorvex

Qorvex can be obtained from theCavia Syndicate or from Sanctum Anatomica bounties. The Sanctum Anatomica and Cavia bounties are unlocked after completing the “Whispers in the Walls” quest. Specific Qorvex blueprints may also be purchased from Bird 3 if you’re at least Rank 2 with the Cavia. Each blueprint purchased this way costs 20,000 Standing.

The main blueprint for Qorvex is earned by completing “Whispers in the Walls.” Open your inbox after the quest is complete to receive it.

Passive

Passive:Weapons wielded by Qorvex have an additional +3 Punch Through.

Every weapon will gain +3 punch through when wielded by Qorvex. This includes primaries, secondaries, and arch-guns. Use your second ability, Containment Wall, to clump enemies into a straight line to make the most of this passive.

Explosives And Punch Through

Warframe Qorvex Passive

Explosive projectiles with punch through will no longer detonate on impact, instead only detonating when they can no longer pierce targets or cover. Be mindful of this when creating a loadout for Qorvex.

Chyrinka Pillar

Chyrinka Pillar:Summon a Chyrinka Pillar that slows enemies. It pulses Radiation damage with a guaranteed status effect.

Warframe Qorvex First Ability

Affects Radiation damage

Qorvex slams the ground and creates a radioactive pillar, emitting waves of Radiation every two seconds with guaranteed status.Enemies within proximity of the Chyrinka Pillar will be slowed by 35%, unaffected by mods.Striking a Chyrinka Pillar with another ability will empower it temporarily, reducing its pulse rate to 0.8 seconds. This can be especially handy for priming targets for Crucible Blast.

A maximum of two Chyrinka Pillars may be active at a time, unaffected by mods. Casting a third pillar will remove the oldest one.

Warframe Qorvex Second Ability

Chyrinka Pillar benefits fromStrength, Duration, and Range.Strength affects the Radiation damage inflicted with each pulse, notthe ability’s pulse rate. Duration influences how long the pillar lasts and how long it remains empowered when struck with another Qorvex ability. Range affects the radius of the pillar’s slow AoE and Radiation pulses.

Containment Wall

Containment Wall:Contain the threat. Qorvex summons walls that slam together, damaging all enemies caught between them and inflicting Radiation status.

Warframe Qorvex Fourth Ability

Affects ability damage and vulnerability debuff

Qorvex creates two parallel walls in front of him before smashing them together, damaging any targets caught between the walls. Any survivors will be squished together in a narrow line and take 25% increased damage for a few seconds, affected by Ability Strength.Enemies hit by Containment Wall also suffer from x1 Radiation status.Use this before casting Crucible Blast to maximize your damage.

Warframe Qorvex Holding Archgun

Containment Wall scales withStrength and Range.Ability Strength will influence how much damage this ability does and how strong the vulnerability debuff is, although this value is so small that modding solely for vulnerability is ill-advised.Range only affects how long the walls are, not how wide they reach. If you want a wider crowd control tool, you’ll need to rely on your companion or replace this ability with the Helminth system.

It’s also worth noting thatthis ability does nothing on uneven surfaces. If a target is above or below you, Containment Wall will miss them completely. Be sure you’re casting this on even terrain for optimal results.

Disometric Guard

Disometric Guard:Guard yourself and nearby allies against status effects. Each time Qorvex kills or assists in killing an enemy affected by Radiation status, the number of status effects Disometric Guard can prevent increases.

10%

Affects stack limits and initial Radiation damage

Stone slabs will begin to surround Qorvex and his allies. You and all allies within Affinity range will gain stacks of status immunity. Each time you receive a status effect, a stack of Disometric Guard is lost instead, preventing the incoming ailment from affecting you. Knockdowns also count as status effects in Warframe, so this ability makes you knockdown immune as well. You’ll also knock targets prone within five meters when initially cast, inflicting Radiation status. This knockdown is unaffected by Ability Range.

Five stacks are created when you first cast this ability, butyou can earn additional stacks by killing enemies affected by Radiation. The more Radiation stacks they’re affected by, the more likely you’ll gain a stack of Disometric Guard. At x10 Radiation, you are guaranteed to gain a Disometric Guard stack when the target dies. This chance is unaffected by mods.

Disometric Guard scales best withAbility Strength, increasing your initial and maximum stack caps. While Range doesn’t impact this ability at all,Disometric Guard is affected by Affinity range scalars. If you want to buff your team from further away, use Vazarin’s Mending Unity node or a Plains of Eidolon flare.

Crucible Blast

Crucible Blast:Release a beam from Qorvex’s Crucible Core. Each enemy struck suffers Radiation damage with a guaranteed status effect. Enemies affected by Radiation status explode in a chain reaction.

Beam:10,000 Radiation per second

Explosion (Status):+250 Radiation damage per Radiation status on the target

Affects beam length and explosion radius

Affects beam and explosion damage

Crucible Blast is Qorvex’s bread and butter. Casting this ability will open Qorvex’s chest and emit a devastating beam of Radiation for two seconds.Enemies affected by Radiation status that are hit by Crucible Blast will continuously explode. The more Radiation stacks they have, the stronger the explosions will be.Unlike Wisp’s Sol Gate, this ability isn’t channeled and deals substantially more damage.

This ability performs the best against targets with x10 Radiation stacks, so you’ll want to prime them first. Radiation status weapons, Chyrinka Pillars, and Containment Wall can be used to quickly stack a target’s Radiation stacks. Once they have a few stacks, cast Crucible Blast and watch the target disintegrate.

You are invulnerable while casting Crucible Blast.

Crucible Blast scales best with Strength, increasing your explosion and beam damage. You also want someAbility Rangein your build to scale your explosion radius, making it easier to overlap explosions in wider tilesets. Range has no impact on your beam’s width, so you’ll want to clump enemies together with Containment Wall or sweep your beam mid-cast to hit every target.

Qorvex Builds

Creating a build for Qorvex is surprisingly simple. Since his Ability Duration only affects Chyrinka Pillar,Qorvex builds should focus on scaling Ability Strength and Range.Strength will make his Crucible Blast far stronger in endgame content, and a small investment in Range can make his Chyrinka Pillar and Crucible Blast abilities feel far more consistent.

As for Focus Schools, use Zenurik. The occasional free ability cast and passive Energy regeneration are crucial to making Qorvex’s kit usable with low investment. If you pair this with Rage or Hunter Adrenaline, you should have little issue sustaining enough Energy to use Qorvex’s entire kit. If Energy is still an issue, use Diriga with Mystic Bond and Manifold Bondto gain free ability casts every few seconds.

Archon Shards

Qorvex ideally wantsCrimson and Amber Shards. We recommend using a couple of Amber Shards to increase Qorvex’s starting Energy. From there, use Crimson Shards to scale his Ability Strength.

Starter Build (0 Forma, No Subsume)

This build scales Qorvex’sStrengthandRangestats to greatly boost the DPS of his Crucible Blast ability. We start by equippingPrecision Intensify, granting a whopping 90% Ability Strength to Crucible Blast only. That’s fine since the other three abilities on Qorvex aren’t nearly as reliant on Strength. For those abilities, we do useTransient Fortitudefor an additional 55% Strength.

Scaling Range is fairly simple here.StretchandAugur Reachwill make your explosions cover 14m, the same size as your pillars. Get your enemies clumped with Containment Pillar—preferably near a pillar—and cast Crucible Blast to deal some absurd damage. To ensure you can perform this setup reliably, we runRageandR4 Streamlineto buff Qorvex’s Energy economy. Taking damage will restore your Energy, so fight close to enemies.

For survivability, we useVitality, Adaptation, and Rejuvenation.Vitality greatly scales your HP, Adaptation grants DR as you receive damage, and Rejuvenation will slowly regenerate your HP over time. You’ll want another source of HP regeneration like Magus Elevate on your Operator, but this will make Qorvex feel quite tanky in Star Chart content. For Steel Pathand above, you’ll need some Forma.

Umbral Build (5 Forma, Terrify Subsume)

Qorvex’s high base HP, armor, and Strength scaling make him the perfect candidate for an Umbral build. But before we start modding Qorvex, we need toreplace an ability with Terrifyto give him some form of armor strip. We recommend replacing Containment Wall since it doesn’t work on uneven surfaces, but you can drop Chyrinka Pillar instead if you seldom use it.

The build itself is similar to our starter build, but we’ll be using Umbral mods this time to greatly scale Qorvex’s survivability.Umbral Vitality, Fiber, and Intensifywill give you a whopping 180% HP, armor, and 77% Ability Strength, respectively. This gives Qorvex close to 90% DR thanks to his high armor. Pair that withAdaptation, and you can comfortably health tank as Qorvex in Steel Path content.

If you want to save an Umbral Forma, replace Umbral Fiber with Augur Secrets. This will drastically lower Qorvex’s survivability, but the build will be far cheaper to replicate.

Transient Fortitudeis used to further Qorvex’s Ability Strength to 232%, making your Crucible Blast deal some absurd damage. Strip a target’s armor beforehand with Terrify, and you can obliterate just about everything in Steel Path content.StretchandCunning Driftwill scale your Ability Range, whileRageandPrimed Flowwill buff your Energy economy.

Finish the build with your favorite aura mod, and you have an absurdly tanky Warframe that can destroy enemies with a death laser at a moment’s notice. You can further buff this build withMolt Augmentedfor an extra 60% Ability Strength after defeating 250 targets. For survivability, we highly recommendMolt Reconstructto heal yourself after every ability cast.
