Thankfully, Steam’s interface makes it easy to sync a PS5 controller to Steam itself to use with games on PC. You can head intoSettingsin the program itself and chooseControllerto recalibrate your inputs, tweak the sensitivity of your joysticks, and so much more.

Connect Via Wired Connection

Arguably the easiest way to hook your PS5 controller up to your PC is toplug the controller into the USB ports via cable.

The individual controllers, unfortunately, don’t come packed with a cable. In this case, any USB-C to USB-A cable is fine - it doesn’t need to be Sony-branded.

Simply put theUSB-C end into your controller, and then connect theUSB-A end into a USB port on the PC.

Connect Via Bluetooth

If you’re not one for wires and yourPC is able to connect to auxiliary tech via Bluetooth, then you’re in luck with your DualSense!

To sync your PS5 controller to your computer over Bluetooth connection, head into yourPC’s search bar, and look upBluetooth. On a PC, this will be labeled as,“Bluetooth and Other Devices Settings"under theSystem Settings.

You’ll need to chooseAdd Bluetooth or other device, and from here, select theBluetooth optionin the “Add a Device” menu. While your PC is searching for devices, hold down the PlayStation button and Share buttonto allow your controller to search as well.

Once your DualSense and PC find one another, you’ll see the option to add"Wireless Controller"in your PC’s Bluetooth menu. Once youselect it, you’re good to go.
