There are numerous planets and communities inStarfieldthat have been affected by the Colony War, such as Gagarin, a planet in the Alpha Centauri System. The planet’s economy revolved around building powerful mechs, which were all banned after the war. Unfortunately, plenty of Gagarin’s citizens have fallen on tough times.

As you wander around Gagarin Landing, you may overhear some people talking about an exciting offer from the UC Vanguard. You’ll need to find your way to the Gagarin Recruitment Office to kick off this quest, and here’s what you’ll need to know to complete it.

Find The UC Vanguard Recruitment Office

Head to theUC Vanguard Recruitment Office above the Terrabrew Coffee, and speak withZinaida Kuipers. Say that you are looking for work, and she’ll respond sayingshe’s trying to get more people to join the Vanguard.

Zinaida will give you someflyers and recruitment materials,and ask you totake them to three local spots. You’ll need todeliver the materialsto people at each of these places, but more importantly, you’ll need to actuallypersuade them to put up the materials.

Distribute The Recruitment Materials

You shouldbe ready to persuadethe people you are distributing the recruitment materials to. Investingskill points into your persuasion skill, ordrinkingan item likeHippolytabefore talking to a person, will make it easier to persuade people.Quicksave before talking with someonejust in case your persuasiveness doesn’t work.

To find your first local spot,head straight out from the recruitment office, and make your way overto the left to a red-tinted bar. Talk toLizzyabout Zinaida’s request.

She’ll take the materials and promise to drop them straight into an incinerator. Since that’s not the best resolution,persuade her to hang up the posters.

you’re able to alsopick up a personal quest for Lizzyhere. In"Sure Bet,“you’ll need to go retrieve some merchandise for her from an abandoned ship.

Talk To Dalisto Pretorius

Backtrack to the entrance of the city.Chief Dalisto Pretoriuswill usually be hangingaround the UC Security Office. You can also chat with her to get some more backstory on Gagarin.

Hand over the recruitment materialsto her, and she’ll offer to put them up in her office.You won’t actually have to persuade her, it’s that easy!​​​​​​​

Talk To Dr. Pauline Keala

You canfind Dr. Pauline Keala in the local clinicoff of the main street in Gagarin Landing. The building is designated bya green cross on the front.

When you talk to her,Dr. Keala will take the materials from you. However, she bemoans the idea of putting them up around the clinic, saying it doesn’t fit with her doctor’s conscience. You canpersuade her to put the recruitment posters up anyway.

UC Wants You! Quest Rewards

After delivering the recruitment materials to Lizzy, Chief Pretorius, and Dr. Keala,return to Zinaida at the recruitment office.Update her on your success, and you’ll close out this side quest.

You will receiveexperience and credits as rewardsfor your efforts. You’ll getmore credits if you successfully persuade all three peopleto put up the posters.

While you are in Gagarin Landing, make sure tocompleteBarrett’s personal quest, if you’ve befriended him enough. The quest will have you talk to Dr. Keala again, so you’ll already know a familiar face.
