The story ofPokemon Scarlet & Violet, in all its glory, comes to a close in the Epilogue to the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. After you’ve made several new friends and battled tons of strong Pokemon, there is one more conundrum you have to solve.
The Epilogue for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s DLC leads you back to Kitakami. When the residents of Mossui Town all of a sudden begin to act strange and creepy, you will need to figure out the cause of it all. Here’s a walkthrough of the Mochi Mayhem quest.
How To Start The Mochi Mayhem Quest
Once you’ve completed all the main story events for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and its DLC, you’ll be able toaccess the Epilogue and start the Mochi Mayhem quest.
You have totake a special Mythical Pecha Berry you get as a Mystery Gift to Peachy’s stall in Mossui Town.A call from your old pal, Arven, is what kicks off the quest.
Aftergoing back to your house in Cabo Poco, in the south of Paldea, you’ll meet up with Arven, Nemona, and Penny. While hanging out together, you’ll geta letter from Kieran inviting you and your friends back to Kitakami.
Return To Kitakami With All Your Friends
Head to Mesagoza’s south gate when you are ready to go.After arriving, the community center’s caretaker will greet you and make rooms available for your group.
Go to see Kieran, and your friend groups will meet.Carmine pops up out of nowhere with glowing purple eyes, and starts singing and dancing about mochi.
The townspeople say it might be a curse, andyou and your group of friends decide to tackle the problem head on…after a party and a good night’s sleep, that is. Once inside the community center,your group needs to find a remote to control the TVto put something on to watch.
The remote isina tree planter pot on the right side of the room, down a short hallway.
While looking, Nemona seems to have disappeared. You have togo outside to see if you can find her, and this is where the quest takes its creepy turn.
Battle To Solve The Mochi Mystery
After heading outside, you’ll need togo up to two residents of the townto ask if they’ve seen Nemona. They will be exhibiting the same behavior you saw earlier with Carmine, butthese two will then initiate a Pokemon battle with you.

Yousee Nemona out of the corner of your eyeafter the battle, before she runs out to the east out of town.Follow Reveler’s Path up to Kitakami Hall to look for her.
You will run intoKieran’s Grandpaon the way. Unfortunately, Grandma is also there, andshe is possessed. She insists Grandpa eat some suspicious purple mochi, and he does.
Battle Grandma Hideko and Grandpa Yukito
Like clockwork, you will now have todefeat Grandma and Grandpa in a Pokemon battle to calm them down.

After Grandpa and Grandma are defeated, you geta call from Arven.You will then need toreturn to Mossui Town and go to Peachy’s stall.
There, a floating purple Pokemonpops up above Peachy’s andthrows mochi at your group.Arven and Penny eat it, but you and Kieran are able to avoid it.
Battle Arven And Penny
You need to find a way to calm them down, but it devolvesinto another Pokemon battle.
Thankfully, you won’t have to fight their entire teams. They will onlysend out three Pokemon each.

The mysterious Pokemon tries to fleeafter you defeat Arven and Penny, soKieran chases after it.Next, you will need tomake your way to Loyalty Plaza, where you originally uncovered the Loyal Three.
Nemona Challenges You…Again!
Upon reaching Loyalty Plaza, you will find out thatNemona has gotten there first.The purple mochi-tossing Pokemon,Pecharunt, is there with her.
Theentire possessed population of Mossui Townhas also followed behind you over to Loyalty Plaza. Kieran will hold off the villagers from getting too close, whileyou get to focus on battling Nemona one-on-one.
Nemona hasa full team of six Pokemon, so feel free tosave your gamebefore heading into this Pokemon battle.

Defeat Pecharunt To Lift The Curse
With Nemoma defeated,your last task will be to defeat the Mythical Pokemon, Pecharunt.

It also hasa unique Ability called Poison Puppeteer. With this Ability,Pokemon poisoned by Pecharunt’s moves will also become confused.
Poison
If you send outOgerponorany of theLoyal Three Pokemon, you willsee a small unique interactionbecause of the connection between Pecharunt and these Pokemon.
Keep attackinguntil you deplete its health completely, and thenyou will be able to catch Pecharunt. Once you defeat Pecharunt, thePokemon’s possession over everybody will go away.
The next day,head out of the community center to say goodbyeto your Kitakami friends, and head back to Paldea. This completes theMochi Mayhem Epilogue for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero!
With the Epilogue completed, you’ll be able toinvite Nemona, Arven, and Penny tothe BB League Clubroom.
