The Ryujin Industry is one of the largest factions inStarfield, with its unique storyline and set of side missions. The Managing Assets quest in Starfield is a minor mission within the Ryujin Industries faction quest line that takes off after you complete the ‘The Key Ingredient’ quest.

If you decide to complete the Ryujin Industries faction quest line, you must also complete favors and errands for Ryujin’s accomplices in missions like Managing Assets. While short, this mission is still influenced by your choices in the earlier missions, which can be completed in multiple ways.

How To Start The Managing Assets Quest In Starfield

When youcompletethe ‘Key Ingredient’ questand report back to Masakoand the other board members, your mission catalog will ask you to speak to Masako again in her office. After you make your way there, you will be askedto run an errand for the administrator of Neon City, Benjamin Bayu.

Although you will not meet Benjamin Bayu during this mission, there is anoptional encounter during the Guilty Parties questwhere you can talk to the administrator personally.

The Managing Assetsquest is only available if you don’t meet with Bayuin the Guilty Parties quest.

In the briefing, Masako will ask you toeliminate a rival operative for the administrator. Since you infiltrated the Seokguh Syndicate storefront without Bayu’s permissionduring the ‘Guilty Parties’ mission,you must now complete this favor on behalf of Ryujin Industries.

How To Find The Rival Operative In Managing Assets

Once you are done with the briefing,head to the location of the rival operative. The identity andlocation of the operative will changedepending on your actions in the first faction mission, ‘Back to the Grind.’

Identity and Location of The Operative

If you didn’t kill Tomo Higashi

Tomo will be the targeted operativewho will be located in Neon.

If you killed Tomo Higashi

You will have totravel to another planet to kill a random characterworking as the rival operative.

Thewaypoint in this mission can get glitchedif you have to eliminate Tomo Higashi in Neon, and your pointer will ask you to get to the Sky Suite in Neon, a restricted section.

To fix this bug, eithergo to the Ebbside in Neon or leave the planet and land back at Neonto see if the waypoint resets.

How To Deal With The Rival Operative In Managing Assets

As soon as you reach the rival operative’s location, you can thencomplete the quest in one of three ways:

If you try the second option,the operative can ask you to pay themfor disappearing. So you’ll have to persuade them to disappear without payment. In contrast,you will also have to use persuasionif you want them to bribe you into letting them go.

After dealing with the operative,head back to the Ryujin Toweron Neonandreport to Daltonabout completing the mission. You will get the following rewards:
