The Kyokugon Shrine certainly offers enough of those tests, and all of them aren’t even found in the shrine itself. Half of the challenge is finding the thing in the first place. Follow this guide to figure out how to find, explore, and solve this clever-yet-elusive shrine.

Where To Find Kyokugon Shrine

The Kyokugon Shrine can be a frustrating shrine to find despite the fact that it’s not hidden all that well. The issue is that its location is directlybeneath the spotmany people often think it should be.

This shrine isbeneath the Great Plateau, but you cannot access it from the plateau itself. Instead, you need to follow thetrails at the bottom and outside the plateauto find a cave entrance blocked by a cluster of boulders. These rocks cover theGreat Plateau Foothill Cave, which is where the Kyokugon shrine rests.

Theexact coordinatesfor the cave’s entrance are-0834, -1485, 0026.

Once you find the rocks that cover the entrance, destroy them with any preferred method. This could be bombs, bomb arrows or Yunobo’s power. Past those rocks are another series of rocks. Use your demolition skills again to break past these as well.

On the other side, you’ll finda White Horriblin and a Black Horriblincrawling around on the cave’s ceiling.

You can ignore them or fight them, but it’s best to take them down so they can’t annoy you as you explore the cave. Usearrows to knock them downfrom the ceiling before finishing them off with your melee weapons.

Before venturing deeper into the cave, look to your rightto spot a cluster ofblue boulders. These take more work to destroy than the regular ones, but the reward for breaking them is finding one of the elusiveBubbulfrogs and its Bubbul Gem. Defeat the frog and grab its gem before continuing to the back of the cave.

There is another wall of breakable stones between you and the back of the cave. Again (again), break the stones to reach the next area.

This wall is made ofgray stones, which are even more durable than the blue ones, so be ready to use a number of bombs oreven multiple melee weaponsto get through them.

When you reach the other side, you finally discover theKyokugon Shrine.

How To Solve The Kyokugon Shrine

Kyokugon might seem elaborate at first, but its puzzle is actually straightforward once you understand the clues presented. The shrine’s puzzle is called“Alignment of the Circles”and requires you toset glowing orbs in specific locations.

When you enter the shrine, you’ll find a large, open area withten ports for the orbs. The ports are grouped intothree main sections:

However, there areonly four orbsin the room. What you need to do isplace the orbs in the correct ports. How can you know what the correct ports are? By looking up. If youlook at the shrine’s ceiling, you’ll findglowing green ringson it in specific areas. These rings aredirectly above the portsyou need to use.

The orbs are all identical,so you don’t need to worry about their order. Just make sure youplace them in the correct ports.

Once you’ve placed the last orb in the final port, the door at thenorth end of the shrinewill open. Bingo. Now you can enter the next room, which contains both theLight of Blessingand the puzzle to collect theshrine’s optional treasure.

How To Find Kyokugon Shrine’s Treasure

Before heading to the altar to grab the Light of Blessing, look to your right. You’ll see another locked door and another orb beside it. There’s a port for that orb around here somewhere.

Turn and look to theleft side of this room. At first, it will seem like nothing’s there, but look up again. There isanother set of green ringson the ceiling, and they’re overtop the floor on the left side of the room.

Head over to the left side of the room andactivate Ultrahand. With Ultrahand active, you’ll see that one of thefloor tiles is glowing, which means you can move it. Pick it up and set it aside tofind a small orb portthat was hidden beneath it.

Set the orb in the port to make the door unlock. On the other side of that door, you’ll find a chest that contains aHearty Elixir.

Now that you have everything this shrine has to offer, activate theglowing icon on the altarto complete the shrine and earn your Light of Blessing.
