What Is The Inherited Manor Challenge?
Inspired by popular mystery mobile games, challenge creator sahmandbeanset out to recreate the intrigue and wonder of Homescapes, Lily’s Garden, and Merge Mansion within the world of The Sims 4.
According to sahmandbean, the manor was charred by a tragic fire, leaving unusable furniture and filthy soot all around the estate. The challenge invites players torestore the mansion, room by room, into their Sim’s dream home! But, it won’t be easy.

With bills through the roof and costly repairs to be made, your Sim will need to be financially savvy to make things work. This challenge isall about accruing money and making smart revisions to your lot, all while navigating around the quirks of the mansion.
How To Play The Inherited Manor Challenge
There are19 rooms in the manor. You’ll have to restore each room, one by one, byraising the room’s value and placing specific furniture. Each room can be thought of as a level; you can’t move on to the next room of the manor without finishing the previous one.
Keep this guide and sahmandbean’supdated challenge ruleson hand as you take on the Inherited Manor Challenge.

You can start the challenge yourself bydownloading the save filecontaining the manor, appropriate furnishings, and ghostly inhabitants. This save file can only be used if you haveall of the expansion packsthat sahmandbean usedto create the manor:
If you don’t have all of them, don’t worry — you’re able to still join in on the fun. Sahmandbean created a version of the manor that you can download from the Sims gallery. Alternatively, base game players can opt for sahmandbean’sGrandma’s Mediterranean Challenge, which is a base game sequelto the Inherited Manor Challenge.

Once you have your mansion on a lot, you’re able to create an adult Sim, use a money cheat to give them §1000, and start getting to work on the manor.
How To Make The Inherited Mansion Challenge Easier
Fixing up a sprawling manor and keeping your head above water simultaneously is no easy feat. Luckily, you can do a few simple things to take some weight off your Sim’s shoulders.
Start A Family To Lighten The Load
Marrying another Sim and having them move into the manoris a great way to rake in some extra cash and stay on top of the house duties.Even better, marry rich!Romancing Father Winter or Geoffrey Landgraab could be good choices for raking in some cash.
If you have children, they’ll be able to pick up some housework, but you’ll also have to pay for their needs.
Add Doors To The Manor To Prevent Wandering
The mansion is big, to say the least, andyour Sim will probably becompelled to wander the hallsof the sweeping property. This can get irritating, though, especially when you want your Sim to just work on a few things in a single room.
Installing doors and locking themfor your Sim is a great way to keep them from getting distracted in the other rooms that you shouldn’t have access to yet.
Use Satisfaction Points To Purchase Reward Traits
Many players underestimate the power of reward traits. Purchasing reward traits from the Rewards Store isan excellent way to manipulate the game without using cheats. If you’re able to rack up some satisfaction points, consider these traits:

Best Ways To Make Money In The Inherited Manor Challenge
For this challenge, you probably won’t want to send your Sim on a typical career path. Building a career takes time, and the bills for your manor are likely to surpass §15,000 a week. If they aren’t paid, you could have your precious items taken by the repo man.

Freelance Painting

Gardening
Clearing some space on the property of the manor can make way for a beautiful garden, where your Sim can turn that greenery into green. Get your Sim out of that dusty mansion and into the daylight.
Like freelance painting, your Sim canmaximize gardening profitsby choosing complementary reward traits and lot traits.Head to the Spice Festival in San Myshunoto collect some exotic and valuable seeds, or find a patch of pricey roses to propagate.
Dumpster Diving
