Paliais a mostly open-world farming simulation MMO. You can explore, discover puzzles, research your heritage and farm, just to name a few options. While some quests are given to you like atraditional MMO, others must be found by exploring the world, both in Kilima Village and, in the case of Better Days, in Bahari Bay.
Throughout Better Days, you’ll be hunting down cat toys and helping Zeki acquire a present for his mother. Here’s everything you need to know about the quest, including how to unlock it.

How To Unlock The Better Days Quest
Finding The Chewed Cat Toy
To acquire the Better Days quest,you’ll want to go to Bahari Bayto start your search. You’ll need tofind the ruins halfway between Hideaway Bluffs and Windy Ruinson the map.
If you’re familiar with theunderground tunnel that has two geysers at either end, it’s near there.
Once you reach the ruins, you’ll want tolook for a ruined archway built into the side of a cliff. It will be to the South if you’rechecking your in-game map.
Headthrough the ruined archway into a tunnel. If you keep following the tunnel,you’ll arrive in a cave housing some supplies.
You’ll see a giant keg, and to the right of it,a magenta blanket with some supplies. Head toward the blanket andlook for an object on the groundthat you can interact with. You’ll receive a chewed cat toy.
How To Find The Owner Of The Cat Toy
It Probably Belongs To The Talking Cat
Chances are thatyou can make an educated guessabout who mightown this particular cat toy. If you’re not sure,or if you just want to see reactions, you’re able to start byshowing the toy to villagers and askingif it belongs to them.
You will eventuallyneed to talk to Zeki to continueto the next step of the quest. You can return the cat toy, but Zeki saysthere would usually also be a letter.
You’ll need tohead back to Bahari Bay to begin your search anewfor the missing letter.
Where To Find The Missing Letter
Fishing For A Letter In A Bottle
To find the other half of Zeki’s present from his mother,you’ll have to do a little fishing. You canfish on the Bahari Bay coastline near the cavewhere you found the chewed cat toy.
If you use the fast travel boards,choose the Beachcomber Cove option.
You’ll eventuallyfish up a bottle with a letter inside. Since Palia has many letter-in-a-bottle related quests,it’s best to open and read the contents of the bottleto ensure it’s a letter from Zeki’s mom.
Once you have the right bottle with Zeki’s letter,you may give it to him for your meager reward.
Rewards For The Better Days Quest
Test Your Luck With One Lucky Coin
You won’t receive much from completing this quest.You will, however,receive a lucky coinalong with a little moreinsight into his lorefrom doing the quest.
you may use Zeki’s lucky coins in the machinein his general store, orthe one in his underground market.
