InStarfield, scientific advancements and discoveries have spread far past known flora and fauna to alien worlds with plants and animals that behave differently than what we humans knew on Earth. While a tree on Earth may only need oxygen and sunshine to thrive, trees on an alien planet may need something entirely different.
Such is the case for the large tree in New Atlantis that Kelton Frush has been studying. His studies lead you to the conclusion of this chain of quests in New Atlantis: Late Bloomer. This time, your job is to find the tree a mate.

How To Start The Late Bloomer Quest
After finishingOut On A Limb, you must wait 24 in-game hours, thencome back to Kelton to start the next quest.
He has learned what it all means; the liquefying and vibrating is because thetree is trying to reproduce! The tree is sending out vibrations, looking for another tree to return its call.

Without a response, however, the vibrations will only increase in strength and frequency, which could be dangerous to itself and everyone else in New Atlantis.
Your job is to go to theCoe Heritage Museum on Akilato get the branch from a tree that’s just as old as this one.

How To Get Tree Branch From The Coe Museum
Set a course for Akila City and follow the marker on your map to the Coe Heritage Museum. You’ll be greeted by Leah Casler, the supervisor of the museum.
Ask her for the branch and she’ll at first refuse. You now have the chance topersuade her to let you borrow it, provided you bring it back unharmed.

Should you fail the persuasion, you can also sneak behind her in Stealth modeand steal the branch from the safe.
The safe is locked with aMaster level lock, so unless you have yourSecurity skill maxed out, persuasion will be your best option.Make sure to save before talking to Leah so you’re able to reload if necessary.

Once you have the tree branch in hand, bring it to Kelton on New Atlantis.
Listen to him talk for a bit, then he tells you he was able to obtain an adequate response from the branch. It just needs to be played.

Take the NAT to the Commercial District, andgo inside the SSNN building behind the NAT station. To your left out of sight of the front desk is anSSNN Access Terminal.
Access the terminal, then upload the broadcast file. Once you’re finished, return to the tree.
Report Back To Kelton
As you approach the tree you’ll hear soft sound waves coming from it. Speak to Kelton, who will report that it worked, and the tree is calming down finally.
You’ll be rewarded with100 XP, and a decent amount of creditsfor completing the quest.
