You’ll be able to help EVE learn some valuable lessons as you help. EVE’s multi-talented, but doesn’t know what hobby would be fun and safe for everyone. Considering EVE’s previous experiences with hobbies, when she tells you about something classified in her house, it’s probably a good idea to investigate.

How To Get The Directive: Plant Quest

EVEwill give you this quest directlywhen you’re ready. To receive it, make sure you’ve done the following:

Talk to Eve to get started with the questonce she has thequest marker above her head.

Meet Eve At Her Eternity Isle Home

After you get the quest from EVE,you’ll need to meet her at her home on Eternity Isle. It’s a spaceship locatedacross from the fishing docks.

Onceinside her home, talk to her. She’ll want you totake a look at a plant on her table. It’s a bit wilted, but also quite mysterious sinceher scans revealed no data.

EVE’s scanner technologydoesn’t include Eternity Isle dataand can’t identify the plant, so she doesn’t know howto properly care for it. You’ll need tohelp her upgrade her technologyto sort out the issue.

Upgrade EVE’s Scanner Technology

Upgrading EVE’s scanner technologyinvolves collecting some items around Eternity Isle. You’ll need the following materials:

If you don’t have a recipe for mechanical parts, you first need tocraft a bronze ingot and a brass ingotto unlock the crafting recipe.

Once you have all the components,you’re able to craft the upgraded scanner right at the crafting table. Therecipe will show up under the Functional Items tabin the crafting table interface.

Return to EVE’s House

You cantalk to EVE to give her the upgraded scanner, after which she’ll be able to identify the plant. Even if EVE is gliding around the island, you’ll still have toenter her house to talk to herand progress the quest.

After talking to EVE, you’ll have toinvestigate the newly identified plant. You do this byapproaching the plantuntil an"investigate" prompt displays, and pressing thecorresponding button or keythat’s shown.

Cook A Plate Of Gourmet Grubs

What do you do with a hungry carnivorous plant? You apparentlyfeed it some gourmet grubs. EVE just happens tohave a recipe that will come in handy.

Use the recipe from your inventory to learn itand you’re able to use any cooking station,including the one on the docks, to cook some grubs.Here’s what you’ll need to make this dish:
