Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’sfirst season has released its mid-season patch, bringing with it two new weapons and a handful of new weekly challenges. Players can earn the new HRM-9 SMG through the Battle Pass, while this season’s new LMG is tied to the Weekly Challenge system.

This week’s challenges encourage you to use aftermarket parts in all MW3 content, including core Multiplayer, MWZ, and Warzone. Complete any five of this week’s challenges, and you’ll unlock the new TAQ Evolvere LMG for use in all MW3 modes. Week 7 Challenge Reward

This week’s challenge reward is theTAQ Evolvere,an LMG that can switch between 7.62 and 5.56 ammunition through Gunsmith attachments. Using 5.56 ammo will reduce the weapon’s damage profile across the board, but it greatly improves the weapon’s recoil control and slightly buffs its mobility and handling stats.
