Reverse: 1999has an engaging combat system that will require strategy and planning to tackle its hardest encounters. Using the playable tutorial found in any story chapter, you’re able to review the game’s main mechanics and hone your skills for difficult battles.
There are several tutorial categories you can review, with three final examinations at the end. These will test everything you’ve learned so far, and can be tricky to complete. Below, we’ll take a look at how to complete the Targeting Exam, Play a Waiting Game, and Visionary Insights challenges.

How To Pass The Targeting Exam
The first exam will test your ability to defeat enemies in a certain order to get around special effects. You will have Bunny Bunny, Eagle, and Regulus for this battle.
The enemy has the special effect: “When a character dies, HP+(each target’s Max HPx20%) for other allies”. Essentially, when one of the enemies dies, they willheal the remaining enemiesfor a portion of their max health.

This will complete the challenge and unlock the next exam, Play a Waiting Game.
How To Pass Play A Waiting Game
The second exam will test your problem-solving and planning abilities. You will have Schneider, Regulus, and Eagle for this battle.
In this battle, the enemy attacks a different ally each turn. Using this information, you can use certain characters to bait attacks and draw them away from other targets.

Defeating the Ace Executioner will complete this challenge and unlock the third exam, Visionary Insights.
How To Pass Visionary Insights
The third exam will have you utilize buffs and debuffs to reduce the enemy’s defenses and buff your own damage to win. You will have Regulus, Nick Bottom, and Sonetto for this battle.
With that, the third and final exam will be complete! Enjoy the knowledge you’ve gained and the 100 Clear Drops you earn as a reward.
