Palworldis a unique survival game where you catch cute little animal friends called Pals, but they’ll do work around the base for you. You can assign Pals to just about any task you can imagine: transporting resources, cooking meals, growing crops, just to name a few!
In addition to their element type, each Pal has an affinity for certain tasks. Some Pals are “jacks-of-all-trades” and can do many different tasks. With so many possible things you can have your Pals doing for you, it can be hard to keep track of it all. So let us help you!
All Base Tasks And The Best Pals For Them
Base tasks are what help turn your base into afunctioning home for you and your Pals. Everyone works together to build, grow food, mine resources, and protect from incoming attackers.

Kindling
The Kindling base task is needed foranything that requires fire, such as torches, furnaces, or cooking pots. All Fire Pals are the ones to have this trait.
Planting
With the Planting trait,these Pals will plant food to growas long as you have theplantations builtand thenecessary seedsin the base inventory.
Handiwork
Handiwork is required for building tasks. Pals with this trait generally have arms and hands.When you place a new structure, or start a recipe at a workbench or assembly line,Handiwork Pals will be the ones to complete those tasks.
Lumbering
The Lumbering traitinvolves chopping wood from treesor from theLogging Siteyou can build at your base.Pals with the Lumbering trait can be any element type.
Medicine Production
When your Pals get sick, injured, or depressed,they’re going to need medicine. Luckily, you can have medicines crafted using Pals that have theMedicine Production trait.
Transporting
When other Pals are chopping wood and mining rocks,someone else has to move all the resources into storage. That’s the job of those with the Transportation skill. They walk all around the base, picking up resources, andputting them into any available storage you have.
Watering
Pals with theWater element will usually have the Watering trait.This is useful for watering plantations, as well as powering the mill for flour, and the crusher for fiber and paldium fragments.
Generating Electricity
As you level up your base, you’ll soon unlock the power generator, as well as equipment that require electricity to power it. To use these machines,you’ll need Electric Pals that have the Generating Electricity trait.
Gathering
Growing your own food on your base takes three separate tasks: Planting, Watering, and, finally, Gathering. Once the crops have grown, theGatherers are the ones to harvest the crops to be eaten or cooked into meals.
Mining
When first starting out, it can be difficult to mine enough rock and ore using just your stone pickake.But once you get some Mining Pals added to your base, you’ll have plenty in no time.
Cooling
A Cooler Box is essential if you have a lot of food that you don’t want to spoil. But in order to power it you need a Pal with the Cooling trait. Once there’s food in the Cooler Box, the Pal will get right to work!
Farming
A farm is an essential structure to have on your base. Assigning certain Pals to it could provide certain food resources, gold, Pal Spheres, and so much more. It all depends on which ones you add.Only Pals with the Farming trait can be assigned to the Farm.
