However, in order to cook, they must be able to go grocery shopping to get the necessary ingredients for their favorite meals. In this guide, we will tell you everything you need to know about how to buy groceries for your Sims.

Buying Groceries: Base Game

When your Sim gets hungry,the best way to verify they eat is by having them cooksomething. Eitherclick on the fridge, the stove, or any other cooking applianceyour Sim has, then select Cook.

A menu of available recipes will pop upbased on your Sim’s cooking level, so scroll through the options, thenclick on the mealyou want and select the serving size. When your Sim goes to the fridge, if they don’t already have the ingredients available,the proper amount of Simoleanswill automatically be deducted for the ingredients.

Buy Groceries From Produce Stand

If you wish to visit the produce stand, use your phone to selecttravel, and then go to theWorld Menu.The Finchwick Neighborhoodis in theHenford-On-Bagleyworld, located next toThe Gnome’s Armsbar.

The produce stand isonly open between 9:00 AM and7:00 PMgame time, so if you arrive before or after those times, you won’t be able to buy any groceries.

When you arrive, walk over to the produce stand, click on either the stall or the merchant,and then selectBuy Grocery Shop Items. Next, a menu will openshowing you everything you can buy from the shop.

If your Sim is strapped for cash, they can select Haggle to lower the prices. Haggling,which uses the Charisma skill, also gives your Sima higher percentage profit when selling items to the merchant.

Order Grocery Delivery

Don’t want to leave the comfort of your own home to go buy groceries? You don’t have to!Simply open your Sim’s phone, thenunder Home, scroll to the bottom and select Order Delivery.

On the next screen, you’re able to orderPizza Delivery,Zoomers Food Delivery, or Grocery Delivery. Select Grocery Delivery, and you can then beginchoosing the groceries you want to purchase.

You will not be able to haggle or sell anything with grocery delivery.

Once your order is complete,the delivery person will arrive a few minutes laterand wait at the front door. Click on them and select Accept Deliveryto let them in, and they’ll deposit the groceries on a nearby counter or table, then leave.

How To Use Mods To Buy Groceries

There are a few grocery mods out there whereyou can create actualfull-sized grocery storesfor your Sims to visit and shop at.The mods themselves arefree to use and easy to install, but they won’t work with the base game alone.

You will need to purchase both theGet To WorkandOutdoor Retreatpacks in order to run a grocery mod successfully. Once you have everything you need,your Sims will be able to go to the grocery store and buy anything they need.
