You’ve created a bustling town full of industry inSteamworld Build. The resources and money keep flowing. And where there’s money, there’s an upper-class robot looking to capitalize on that wealth for themself. Welcome to the Aristobot phase of the game!

You’ll encounter notably more expensive buildings and more complicated production chains in this tier. But by doing so, you open the doors for further expansion, new resources, and even bigger tax payments. Here’s the full breakdown of every Aristobot building.

Steamworld Build Aristobot Residential

Remember that the Upkeep cost takes place every tax cycle, which is different from a standard cycle.

What It Does

Provides up to 150 Dollars and 30 Aristobots

Like any Residential building, this oneprovides steambots and tax incomein exchange for an evolvinglist of Satisfaction demands. Dedicated to the Aristobot, it provides more taxes than the previous forms and needs to beupgraded from the Engineer Residentialaccordingly.

Steamworld Build Polymerisation Plant

While thebuilding still needs to be connected to the Train Stationto function, it does not receive a Satisfaction Boost for it.

Converts 1 Plastishroom into 1 Plastic every 15 seconds

Plastic will beneeded for a handful of different buildingsin the Aristobot tier, including the Aristobot Residential Upgrade.

Steamworld Build Steam Furnace

You will also unlockthe Plastishroom Farmoption in the mines in the same Milestone. Those need to beplanted in Fertile Soilfound in theMarshy Ruins or the Crackling Depths.

Provides Aristobot Satisfaction

The Waxing Shop is a Service building for bothAristobots and the Scientistsin the next tier up.

Higher quality roads will increase the range of a Service building, allowing it to satisfy more Residentials.

A slightly misleading building, this is actually another Service building and doesn’t provide a sheriff (or any law enforcement). Instead, itprovides Aristobot Satisfaction.

6,700 Dollars, 8 Boards, 10 Sheet Metal, and 13 Plastic

Converts 1 Crude Oil into 1 Oil every 30 seconds

This Refinery building does exactly what it says on the tin:converts crude oil into normal oil.

Crude Oil can be collected fromresource nodes in the mines; be sure to build a Crude Oil Extractor to harvest it. Regular oil is then used in a variety of crafting combos, likeDieselandRobo Cuisine.

Since it’s needed in multiple crafting combos, consider placing an Item on this building to further improve it’s efficiency.

23 Dollars, 35 Aristobots

Converts 1 Plastishroom and 1 Oil into 1 Diesel every 30 seconds

To keep your Aristobots happy, you need to refine that oil into proper Diesel. Itshigh building cost and higher upkeep costmake this one of the most inconvenient buildings in this tier.

This is a great building forattaching an Itemthatreduces Workforce demand, if you have one.

A single Diesel Plant at standard efficiency will produce enough Diesel tosupport up to 20 Aristobot Residentials.

Converts 1 Sand into 1 Glass Wool every 30 seconds

Don’t think too hard about the logic behind this one. You need Glass Wool for the next building, which isneeded for Aristobot Satisfaction, so find a nice corner to drop this down and forget about.

Hatmaker

7,500 Dollars, 8 Tools, 15 Boards, 8 Sheet Metal, 15 Plastic

Converts 1 Glass Wool into 1 Hat every 30 seconds

This is what the Glass Wool is for. Hats are a consumed resource for Aristobot Satisfaction. A single Hatmaker at standard efficiency will produce enough hats tosupport up to 15 Aristobot Residentials.

Steam Furnace

9,000 Dollars, 25 Tools, 25 Boards, 12 Sheet Metal, 8 Plastic

Provides an efficiency boost to all nearby Refinery buildings

This isthe best building in the Aristobot tier. When powered, all other Refinery buildings within range will receive an efficiency boost. Place this one near your industrial zone.

Its charcoal cost can get expensive. Considerlimiting yourself to oneof these orbuilding an additional Forester and Charcoal Kilnto offset the cost.

Carburizing Plant

18,000 Dollars, 14 Tools, 12 Boards, 16 Sheet Metal, 15 Plastic

Converts 1 Oil and 1 Ironium into 1 Carbide Drill every 60 seconds

TheCarbide Drill is to Granite, as the Pickaxe is to Sandstone. You’ll need these items if you want tobreak through Granite blocksin the underground mines. This is necessary for exploration but seldom after that.

While we don’t recommend pausing a Refinery building, this is agood one to put on pauseif you don’t need it. This will save you on a high Aristobot requirement and preserve two valuable resources.
