Have you ever dreamed of becoming a mermaid? InCoral Island, you can make all of your fin-tastic dreams come true! While you’re growing your crops and romancing the townies, take a splash in the ocean and you’ll soon have the opportunity to trade your legs for fins and take to the waters as a whole new person.

Unlocking this feature brings with it an ocean’s worth of perks, but getting there is going to take some time. Dive into our guide where we’ll tell you all you need to become one of the merfolk of Coral Island.

Unlock The Merfolk Kingdom

The very first thingyou’ll need to do isunlock the Merfolk Kingdom.

Towards the beginning of the game,Ling, the resident scientist, willcontact you about divingto clean up all thetrash left from the oil spill.

What follows is aseries of queststhat involveclearing piles of trashon the ocean floor with your scythe so you canactivate the solar orbs. These orbs, once activated, heal the coral sites.

After healing all the coral sites leading up to theMerfolk Kingdom gateandsolving the gate’s puzzle, you’ll finally gain access to theMerfolk Kingdom.

Clean Up The Deep Sea And Heal The Coral Tree

After a lengthy discussion withKing Krakatoa and Queen Nanda Devi, you’ll gain access to theDeep Sea, where you’llcontinue your journey to heal the Coral Tree.

In the Deep Sea you’llcarry on the same patternas before:

This leg of the journey to becoming a merfolk is going torequire a lot of patience, as it may takemany seasons to complete. Especially if you’re also growing crops, romancing townies, and venturing in the caverns.

During this time,werecommend usingvortex bombs, as well asupgrading your scythewhenever possible to make it easier to clear the trash littered on the ocean floor. Also, bring with youlots of food and drinks that can restore your stamina.

When you’ve finally activated all the solar orbs and healed the Coral Tree, the King and Queen willsend you a letterasking you tomeet with them at the castle.

When you get there, they give you theSeal of Naga. Its purpose is for others to know that you are atrusted friend of the merfolk.

How To Become A Mermaid

Two game days later,you’ll receive a letter from Cho Oyu, the Oracle of the Merfolk Kingdom.

Meet with her in her home, and she’ll tell youshe found a recipe for a potion that will turn humans into merfolk. This will start the quest called ‘One Of Us’.

For this potion you will need:

Once you’ve collected the required items,return to Cho Oyu to give her the ingredients. She realizes she needs one more ingredient:sap from the Coral Tree.

Follow her to the Coral Tree,where she will extract the sapand add it to the potion. Now that the potion is complete, you go back to her home where she gives it to you.

She’ll ask if you’re ready, and when you say that you are,she gives you the potion and the transformation begins.

Before the transformation is complete,you’ll get to choose what you want your tail to look like. But don’t worry, you may always go back to Cho Oyu andbuy another one for 500 goldif you don’t like it.

Once you confirm your choice, you’ll berocking your brand-new fins.

Now,whenever you go diving, instead of your diving suit,you’ll be in merfolk form. You can now move at normal speeds and dash.

Return to the Merfolk Kingdom on the following day, and you’ll now have access to theMerfolk General Shop.
