Remnant 2is here, introducing fresh content through the Awakened King DLC. This new adventure takes you back to Losomn, unveiling the story behind the One True King. Expect a plethora of new items and equipment to acquire, secrets to uncover, and of course, new challenges and bosses to conquer.
As you progress through the Awakened King DLC, the initial main boss you’ll face is the Sunken Witch. The primary challenge in this first boss fight is the confined area where you must confront her. However, this guide is here to assist you in overcoming this challenge.
The Sunken Witch Attacks
TheSunken Witchwields abig ship hook as her primary weapon, and all her attacks originate from it. Throughout the entire fight, she consistently employs three main attacks, and there is no second phase.
The majority of her attacks followa two-hit pattern. She swings her weaponupwards and then downwards, orhorizontally, providing a decent opening to strike back after she completes these combos.
The troublesome attack involves herswinging the weapon like a tornado as she approaches, culminating ina powerful downward swing that inflicts significant damage.
Periodically, the Sunken Witchascends wooden structures,unleashing a pack of dogs to pursue you.
While she is up and in close proximity, she executesa leaping jump attackthat also deals substantial damage, so it’s crucial to stay vigilant about her whereabouts.
The Sunken Witch Strategy
Upon initiating the boss fight with the Sunken Witch, you’ll quickly notice the confined nature of the arena,resembling a single line. However, there’s a way to alter this setup.
Your strategy involvesluring the Sunken Witch to target the wooden structures at the middle of both sides of the arena. This prompts her to destroy them, creating a more spacious area for the battle.
Once she completes her two-hit combos,seize the opportunity to shoot her from a safe distance.
Since all of her attacks are melee, you can confidently maintain a safe distance without concern for any ranged attacks hitting you.
Approach this fight as a continuous cycle ofkeeping your distance,shooting, andcreating more space when needed for reloading or health restoration.
When the Sunken Witch initiates her tornado attack,keep running. While it might seem like she swings her hook for an extended period as she closes in, eventually, she will stop.
Alternatively, close the gap so she executes the final blow,but be swift in dodging it.
After the Sunken Witch climbs the wooden structure,a pack of dogs will come for you.Quickly eliminate them, as they can pose a challenge when contending with both them and the Sunken Witch.
In summary, maintain your distance, keep firing, and exercise caution when the Sunken Witch is on the upper level, asshe may abruptly leap down without warning.
