One of the most powerful Alpha Bosses isJormuntide, a sea serpent Water/Dragon-type Pal who can naturally wield thunder and water and unleash their power on you and your team, making it a hard challenge to overcome. Here’s all that you need to know about it!

Where To Find Jormuntide
Jormuntide presents a unique opportunity for you, asit’s the only Alpha Boss that can be found in more than one location.You can find the first Jormuntide at the coordinates-175,-265, to the southeast of the Investigator’s Fork teleport statue, and a second oneat 350,-85, near the Mossandra Forest teleport statue.

How To Beat Jormuntide
Jormuntide has three attacks, and all of them hit like a truck, soyou must upgrade your shield, headpiece, and armor as high as you can, or you won’t survive more than four or five hits.First, you have Aqua Burst,a Water-type attack where Jormuntide shoots a bubble at you at high velocity, and you must quickly dodge it before it lands on your location.
Next, Tri-Lightning will be by far the most annoying, asthis homing thunder will fall at your location three times and follow your movement,which will prompt you to interrupt your attack and dodge several times before being able to move freely once again. Last,Hydro Laser is a pressurized projectile that will deal a whopping amount of damage if it hits you, and it’s pivotal that it doesn’t because it’ll probably one-shot you.
Do not stay in the water if you’re riding a Pal, it’s way more convenient to let the Pal fight so you can flank the boss and attack it from the sides.
On the weapon side, don’t waste your time with close combat weapons, justequip the strongest firearm and crossbow you can find, and attack it from afar while your pal catches its attention. Since its HP is not massively high, you should be able to chip away at its health quite fastif you’re properly equipped.
However,if you intend to catch this Pal, you get presented with another problem.Since its capture rate is immensely low,you must go to this fight equipped with Hyper or Ultra Spheres, or your chances of catching Jormuntide will be none, and even then, they will be very slim.
It’s highly recommended to level up your Capture Power as much as you can before challenging this Boss.
