Every fight in Category C is fearsome, both in the monster’s visual appearances, and how much damage they can do in a single turn. Your tactical skills, battle prowess, and party-building will truly be tested at this stage in the Colosseum, and you had better not go in unprepared. Here’s the breakdown on how to beat all three fights in Category C.

Endor Colosseum Rank C Overview

Entry Fee: 1000 Gold Coins

You’re up forthree massively painful fightseven if you’re prepared in Category C. If youhaven’t been using synthesis already, now’s the time tofuse your monsters togetherand get higher-ranked ones: thehigher a monster’s rank, thebetter its statswill be, and they’ll come withbetter skills too.

Boss Troll

Great Argon Lizard

Continuing with the trend of themed teams to fight, themajority of the monstersyou’ll fight in Rank C arespell-casters, carryingpowerful spellsandadvanced buff skills. Each fight you’ll face is difficult in its own way, and theStun status is common.

At this point in both the Colosseum fights and the Maulosseum fights, you’ll needat least one monster with Midheal, but havingtwo or even three with the spellis even better in case your main healer gets defeated, or is affected by a status effect.

You can use theSet Instructionstab in your menu tocustomize how often a monster uses a particular skillto better help with their behavior, such as making a healer monstercast Heal or Midheal more often.

Bringing adedicated buff-casting monsterwith party-widebuff skills is also almost required, such as Kabuff, as they cancut damage taken by your monsters, which can save them from getting killed in a turn or two.

Make sure yourmonsters are equipped with Accessories, not just for the extra stats, but for theadditional traits some have, such as theAmulet of Vigor’s Granite Skin, which slightly lowers your chance of being stunned.

Similar to theCategory F final battle, you’ll be taking on large monsters again in thethird battle, but this time, you’ll befacing two Large monsters at once, meaning you’ll have to deal with themattacking four to six times per turn.

How To Beat Endor Colosseum Category C

First Battle: Dancing Dolly’s Monsters

The first battle against Dancing Dolly features a line-up offast, magic-using monstersthat use powerful spells such asSwoosh and Boom, and will frequentlyassault your entire partywith heavy damage andstatus effects.

In particular,Electric Boogie from Fandangowis themost damaging, so watch out for it.

A Flython monster and an Armoured Wartoise being paired together to create a new Wyrtle monster in monster synthesis in Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince.

Due to their speed, adebuffer capable of casting Deceleratleis invaluable for Dolly’s monsters, but if youdon’t have Deceleratle, a monster that canbuff your party with Aceleratleis just as helpful.

Of the four monsters, theHooper Trooper and Croc-A-Bugle-Doo have the lowest HP, and can betaken out in a few turnswith strong physicalattacks like Kacrackle Slash, especially if you can buff yourself with Oomph.

Be wary ofFandangow’s Spiky Skin trait, as itreflects a portion of damage takenwhenphysical attacks are usedon it, and the reflected damage canput your monster in range of being defeated.

Croc-A-Bugle-Dootends not to attack, and insteadbuffs its allies with Kabuff, and it has thetrait Bigger Upper, which makes itprovides several extra effects whenever it buffs an ally, including making themimmune to damagefor one attack, orreflecting breath attacks.

Most of the monsters in this fight have varying weaknesses, physical attacks and explosive-damage spellslike Bang and Boom cankeep you doing damage consistently.

Second Battle: Danny Deathmatch’s Monsters

Danny’s monsters likebuffing themselves up with Oomphleto do more damage, and even theirregular attacks can pack a punchthanks to the party-wide buff spell. In order to keep them from doing too much damage, buff your defense with Kabuffas a counter.

Warhogalso tends touse Kabuff within the first few turnsto buff up their defense, but you cancounter this with Oomph, Oomphle, orlower it with Kasap.

By far themost dangerousof his monsters is theHyperboarean. Not only does the Hyperboareancarry the most buff spells, but it’s also capable ofstunning your team with War Cry, so try to get yourbuffs up as early as possibleto avoid getting stunned before you’re able to.

All of Danny’s monsters arebulky and have high HP, but they can bedispatched easilywith party-wide attackspells like Cool Breath or Chilly Breath, as all four of them areeither weak to Ice damage or take normal damagefrom them.

Despite being cast as spell-casters, most of Danny’s teamtends torely on regular attacksoutside buffing themselves, and in particular, theNotso Machocarries theparty-wide Skysplitter attack, which cando nearly 100 damage if it’s buffedby Oomphle.

UsingDazzleflash or Sandstormtolower the enemy team’s accuracycan render Danny’s team relatively harmless.

Third Battle: Peckish Pete’s Monsters

Instead of four monsters, you’ll now be dealing with two Large ones who love touse physical attacks, and will now try toafflict you with different status effectssuch as poison.

You’ll need tohave multiple healersfor this battle, at leasttwo monsters capable of using buff spells, andaccuracy-lowering spells are a must. Offense is important, butdefense is the most important thingto surviving this fight.

Boss Troll can easilyone-shot even the tankiest monstersbyusing Seethe, which raises its next attack’s damage and makes it harder to dodge, thencombining it with Hatchet Manto donearly 400 damagein one turn if youdon’t have Kabuff up.

This fight may be all about defense, but it’sessentially a race against time: the Boss Troll willalmost continuously use Seethe, then Hatchet Man to try andone-shot your party members.

TheGreat Argon Lizardis powerful, butposes far less of a threat: itprioritizes physical attacksover using its party-wide Inferno spell, and has amassive weakness to Water. It can bekilled in a few rounds using Splash, and the Mandrake Major, found in Fort Knox or fused, can easily defeat it alone.

You shouldprioritize speed and defensein this battle: the quicker you defeat the Great Archon Lizard, thesooner you can focus on the Boss Trolland defeat it.
