If you get past the main story of The Xianzhou Luofu inHonkai: Star Railand take part in A Foxian Tale of the Haunted quest, you’ll eventually unlock various Suppression Towers around Fyxestroll Garden. These towers feature a special combat mode called the Exorcismal Chronicles where you battle various enemies.
There are a total of five towers in the area with four battles in each one of them. If you want to win these battles, you’ll have to learn the exclusive combat mechanic of Exorcismal Chronicles and select the right Exorcismics for each battle.

How Exorcismal Chronicles Combat Works
If you’ve reached the Exorcismal Chronicles area, you’re most likely already aware of thegeneral combat mechanics of Honkai: Star Rail. It features a turn-based combat whereyou can see the order of attacks on the top-right side of your screen. This order can be changed in many ways, and character Ultimates can be used at any point regardless of the order.
Other than that, the combat in Exorcismal Chronicle features another mechanic called Fiendfire. This can be seen asflames to the left of a certain character or the enemy on the lineup order. A cyan flame is shown if it’s beside one of your characters, but it turns into a red flame if it’s beside an enemy.
It’s extremely important topay attention to these flamesif you want to win the battles of Suppression Towers.
Whenever an action is performed by either your side or the enemy, these flames go up by one in the order. Once they reach the top of the order, they take effect on the ally or enemy beside it, providing the following buff:
You don’t have to do anything if the flame takes action on an ally. However, it’s necessary tomess with the action order if the flame is going to take action on an enemy. As mentioned, the flame goes up by one in the order no matter what kind of action is taken, which includes an Ultimate and even the Lunaumbra Gourd’s action.
Ideally, you’d want to save the Ultimate for one or more of your characters for these scenarios. Whenever ared flame with an enemy reaches the second slot on the action order, you can use these Ultimates to steal the flame. Action order can also be affected by crowd-controlling abilities or SPD buffs.
The main goal is tohave every single Fiendfire take effect on an allyso that you can constantly use the Lunaumbra Gourd’s ability.
Guide To Each Suppression Tower
You’ll unlock the first Suppression Tower afterdoing the Twins questin Honkai: Star Rail. However, if you want to unlock the other three, you’ll have to wait quite a bit as theseonly unlock when you complete the respective Trailblaze Continuance mission. You have to complete two smaller missions between each main quest.
Once you unlock a certain Suppression Tower, you’ll have to finish each battle in a certain number of turns without losing a character, and you also have tomake sure the enemy doesn’t get the Fiendfire effect more than once or twice. Here’s everything you’ll need to beat these:
Combat Tips
Pavilion of Cessation
Whenever an enemy gets a turn in this tower, their ATK, DEF, and SPD are increased by 15 percent, which stacks up to five times. If Fiendfire triggers on an enemy, they instantly get four of these stacks.
If you want to combat this effect properly, it’s recommended to use the Edict: Evil Cleanse Exorcismic as this instantly breaks all enemies' Weakness, which also gets rid of the effect mentioned above.
Swallowsong Pavilion
Whenever an enemy attacks your allies in this one, your party loses one Skill Point. This effectgoes up to three Skill Points if the enemy gets the Fiendfire buff. You gain one SP when an enemy is defeated.
The best Exorcismic to counter this tower is the Amulet: Fiend Seal, whichgives you four Skill Points and a DMG increaseevery time it’s used.
Foxsomn Tomb
If an enemy attacks your allies in this tower, theyapply the Wind Shear DoT on the attacked character. This lasts for two turns and stacks up to five times. Enemy with the Fiendfire effect applies two extra stacks of Wind Shear.
This effect can easily becountered with the Amulet: Altar Aegis Exorcismic. This gives you a permanent shield and reflects the damage you should’ve taken on the enemies.
Locufox Forest
In the final tower, whenever you defeat an enemy, the rest of theenemies will deal 40 percent extra DMG to your characters. If an enemy gets the Fiendfire effect, they instantly get a stack of the DMG boost.
This is the easiest tower to counter since you can simply use Amulet: Altar Aegis andblock almost all attacks from the enemies if you gain all the Fiendfire.
Begone, Evil Guide
There are a total of five Suppression Towers in Fyxestroll Garden, but the one on Verdant Terrace is a little different. Instead of having four combats of the same type, this towerfeatures one combat with the same effect as each of the other four towers. You’ll only unlock the combat for a certain tower after finishing all four difficulties there.
You can use the same Exorcismics mentioned with each tower above here, but the combat itself is a little different. Firstly, you can use your Technique Points before the battle here, and each battle has one refill object that gives you two extra points. However, these points are shared across all battles.
This means that if you use four of your five points in the first battle, you’llonly be able to have a maximum of three in the second one.
However, you can easily counter this by starting a combat, taking the Technique Points, and leaving the area. The added TP will count for the next battle.
Once you enter combat, you’ll realize that this features thesame type of battle that you had against Cirrus at the end of the first part. Apart from enemies, Cirrus can also get a turn regularly here. Whenever she gets a turn, she’ll instantly advance all enemy actions by 100 percent, which allows them to attack immediately.
This makes it a littleharder to manage the Fiendfire flamesince enemies constantly change their order. To make it a little easier, it’s recommended to save as many Ultimates as you’re able to here. Use these Ultimates as soon as the flame reaches the second slot on the turn order and you’re good to go.
It’s important toprevent the enemies from getting Fiendfire heresince the combat is already difficult with the extra enemy turns.
However, the requirements you need to get a three-star victory are also quite lenient.
