The Gilded Araya Walkthrough
You will face Asura in a circular arena. For the most part, many mechanics in this fight will be similar to ones you’ve seen before in the MSQ or other Trials, but there are a few you’ll need to watch out for. We’ve detailed all of Asura’s attacks in the tables below.
Lower Realm
Roomwide AoE
Deals damage to all party members andcovers the edge of the arenain an AoE that deals damage to players that touch it.
Asuri Chakra
Ring AoE
Creates severalconsecutive ring AoEscoming from Asura. Stand in between the ring AoEs to avoid taking damage.
Cutting Jewel
AoE Tankbuster
Deals high damage in a small circle around Asura’s main target. Usedefensive cooldownsto mitigate this damage.
Ephemerality
Asura summons clones of herself that deal damage to all party members, then leaveafterimagesbehind at certain locations. After a short delay, these afterimages will attack again in a circular AoE.Move away from Asura’s clonesto avoid taking damage.
Iconography
Special
Asura will summon a largeclone of herself at the back of the arenathat will then use combination attacks with her throughIconic Execution.
Iconography: Pedestal Purge
Pointblank AoE
Deals damage in acircle surrounding the boss. Move away to avoid.
Iconography: Wheel of Deincarnation

Iconic Transcendence
Later in the fight, Asura will castIconic Transcendence, which causes the clone tomove before using Iconic Execution. Keep in mind which attack is coming and move accordingly as the clone does to avoid them.
Six-bladed Khadga
Sequential Half-circle AoEs
Asura will marksix half-circle AoEson the ground in a sequence before slashing there with her blades. You’ll need toremember the order of the AoEsand move accordingly to avoid each one. These deal high damage and inflict Vulnerability, so taking two AoEs in a row may be lethal.
The Face of Wrath / The Face of Delight
AoE
Asura splits the arena into ared halfand ablue half. Then, either ared or blue facewill appear on your screen, indicating which half of the arena will be dangerous.Move to the opposite side of the arenaas the face that appears to avoid this AoE.
Myriad Aspects
Sequential Cone AoEs
Asura will createtwo sets ofcone-shaped AoEsaround herself that explode after a short delay. Avoid the first set, then move to avoid the second set when it’s safe.
Bladescatter
Line AoEs
Asura will fire aseries of line AoEs to her front, turning as she fires them. Get behind the boss and move with her to avoid this barrage of AoEs.
At this point, these mechanics will berepeated until the fight is complete. Once you’ve figured out how to avoid each attack, there won’t be any more surprises, so the remainder of the right should be fairly simple. Be sure to pay close attention to Six-bladed Khadga, and watch carefully when the clone moves during Iconic Transcendence.
