Whether you’re playing solo or with friends inLego Fortnite, you can get some extra help in your adventures by inviting familiarFortniteNPCs to come and live with you. They can take on some extra tasks, and just generally make your village feel more lived-in.
If you’re wondering how to invite characters to come and stay in your village, we’ve got everything you need to know right here, including how to get rid of characters if you get a bit fed up with them.

If you have toggled villagers off in your world, they will not appear. When you toggle these settings when creating worlds, you cannot change them later.
How To Recruit New Villagers
you may recruitup to five villagers in total, but first, you need tobuild a Village Square with ten Wood and ten Granite. Once you’ve done this, NPCs will start to visit your village. If you speak with them, they will ask to stay the night.
Some specific Fortnite characters have certain requirements before they appear. For example, Meowscles will appear in villages with more housing decorations, while Peely requires a high level Village before he will consider moving in.

If you speak to them a second time, you caninvite them to come and live in your villageby selecting the’Live in my village!' option.
You can only do thisif your village has space both in terms of village upgrade size and a free bedfor them to stay in.

As you upgrade your village, you will expand the number of villagers you can invite.

Once villagers have moved in, they will hang out around your village and you can assign them jobs.
How To Move Villagers
As you improve and build upon your village, you might want to give your favourite villager a cosy new abode with a nice new bed. All you have to do to move a villager isgo up to an unassigned bed and choose ‘Assign to bed’to move their designated bed to a new one.
How To Get Rid Of Villagers
You might want to get rid of a villager you don’t like, or perhaps you just want to make room for someone much cooler.All you have to do is destroy their designated bedand you’ll free up a villager allocation.
