Games are a funny medium. When everything is digital, no one has to age. Some characters do, of course, but a mascot is ageless in the digital world. And so brings up the age-old question - how old exactly are your favourite video game characters?
One of the biggest examples of this is the cast ofSuper Mario Bros. Wonder. They’ve been running around with their mushrooms and drain pipes for literal decades, and haven’t aged a day. Unless the Mushroom Kingdom has some great anti-aging stuff, we have to assume they’re just not aging.
The Main Characters Of Super Mario Wonder
Super Mario Wonder is the celebrated return of the sidescrolling Mario series, hitting a new peak it has struggled to reach since the early DS days. As part of its main cast are both newcomers and our established heroes,all as youthful as their first appearance. Before we get started, let’s give a quick rundown of who we’re considering the main characters.
With the exception of Bowser and his son, these are all playable characters, withYoshi specifically playable as a form of easy mode. Wonder will have you looking at these characters in a whole new light. Once you’ve seen Bowser looking at Elephant Peach, there’s no denying his newfound love.

The (Approximate) Ages Of Super Mario Wonder’s Characters
First and foremost to acknowledge is thatNintendo has never strictly confirmed the ages of Mario characters within the games. On the flip side of that, however, is that they have, both intentionally and inadvertently,revealed some age ranges outside of the gamesin various other pieces of media and info drops.
Mario Wonder didn’t add much in terms of redefining the ages of our long-running characters, though it didn’t dispute them either. As always, most of this information isn’t what you’d strictly call ‘canon’, so take it with a healthy pinch of salt. The lesson to take from all these characters is this -If you live a healthy life of over 30 years, you too can be perpetually in your 20s.
