InPalworld, you’ll face off against tough Pals and befriend others to create your own base. With your base, you’ll need different resources, like stone and wood, to help maintain and repair any damage from raids. There’s also a need to gather food for both you and your Pals. With so much to do, it sure would be easier to have a helping hand.
With multiplayer, you and your friends can team up to tackle Palworld together. Exploring the open world with a couple of friends makes everything much more enjoyable, and you can even make new friends in your adventure as well!
Palworld is still in Early Access, so the multiplayer function doesn’t always work. However, you are able to play with friends and join public servers!
How To Use A Multiplayer Server
To start a multiplayer server, you’ll want toselect Start Game, Create New World, and toggle the mutliplayer setting on. This will bring you to the character creation menu, where you’ll design your character and begin your new adventure.
There are a few things to keep in mind with a multiplayer game:
you may change the multiplayer setting in-game as well from the Option Screen, which is an alternative way to play with friends if there’s an error starting a new world with the setting on.
How To Join A Multiplayer Game
To join a multiplayer game, you can eitheruse an Invite Codegiven to you by a friend or you canjoin an open online server. These servers canhost up to 32 peopleat a time, which can cause a lot of lag.
Exclusive servers are currently an experimental feature during Early Access, so you may experience crashes, bugs, and/or lag–especially with a high number of players.
You can joinOfficial Servers, Community Servers, or Recent Servers. You can alsocheck by name and sort the serversby the number of players or by the number of active days in-game.
It’s more likely that the more in-game days a server has been active, the further on the guests in the server will be, so prepare accordingly.
What You Can Do In Multiplayer
Playing in multiplayer is like playing a solo-campaign, but with an additional person. You can do most things in multiplayer that you could do in a solo game, in addition to a few new features.
Start And Join A Guild
When you play a multiplayer game in Palworld, you cangroup up with other players and form a guild. The option will appear when you approach another player, and you caninvite them to your guild or request to be part of theirs.
This will put a guild name over the other player’s head reflecting the group’s name. Being part of the same guild means you’ll haveaccess to the same basesand workbenches. You can also use the Palbox to trade Pals.
You don’t share experience, resources, Pals, or anything else by default. You’ll need to manually trade items to share.
Trade Items And Pals
you may open your inventory anddrop different items to tradewith people in multiplayer. This is a great way to share resources of tools that you craft with friends.
If you have items you don’t want to share, you can put them in a chest and add a password to keep it locked.
you’re able to alsotrade Pals with other playersby dropping them on the ground. They will appear in their spheres and can be picked up like any other resource.
When you drop a Pal, they can be picked up by anyone in the overworld, whether or not they’re in your guild.
Crafting
Similar to how Pals can help you speed up your work time,building together with other playersin a world can speed up the process.Crafting goes much fasterwith more than one person helping out, especially when Pals get involved, too.
Catching Pals
Working together meansteaming up to catch Pals. It’s much easier to take down Pals and whittle away their health when it’s two against one. You can also strategize to have one person distract the Pal while the other sneaks up to attack them.
Teamwork makes many aspects of Palworld much easier to handle, and it can be even more amusing when things go wrong and you run into a powerful Pal that knocks you and your friends flat.
