There’s plenty for you to build, see, and do each day inMy Time at Sandrock, but there are only so many hours in a day. At the risk of exhaustion, your builder can stay awake for 20 in-game hours, but even then, some find the time constraint in Sandrock to be a bit too strict.
Thankfully, you’re able to change the game speed in My Time at Sandrock to better suit your playstyle. Whether trying to fit in more activities each day, hit the main story beats faster, or just enjoy our time, changing the game speed can help.
Change How Fast Your Days Go By Changing The Time Slider
In My Time at Sandrock, the in-game clock runs from7AM until 3AM(though you ought to be in bed before midnight for the best chance to be well-rested andbuff your statsfor the following day).
You’llalways wake up at 7AM, and your builder willpass out from fatigue at 3AMif they’ve not already gone to bed before then.
Hitting 3AM will see them transported back to their bed at home when they wake up the next day.
However, some players find that the daymoves by too quickly, with numerous activities, events, social occasions,Commissions, and more to handle each day in Sandrock.
Because of this, you canchange the flow of time in the game’s settingsto allow for more or less time in your day. Some players find the default setting to be a bit too hectic, solowering the game’s speed slidermakes each day pass at a much more comfortable rate.

Which speed is “the right game speed” is ultimately up toyour own preferencesin gameplay,how many activities you’re doingevery day, and more. You canchange the game speed as often as you like, so enjoy the flexibility.
If you’d like to pick things up a little, proceed through the main story, and refurbish Sandrock even faster, then speeding up can help.
If you find the default speed to be too quick and are passing out often, slowing down a bit may be the right move for you.
How To Change The Speed Of Time
In your pause screen menu, you’ll have plenty of options, but to change the speed of My Time at Sandrock, head to theSystem tab to the right. It’s the one with thegear icon.
From here, go intoOption, which opens directly into theGame Settings tab. The very first option here is aslider for Game Speed, which isset to oneby default.
This slider has arange from 0.6-3for you to choose from. As you may see in the table above, thehigher the number, the faster your day goes. When you’re satisfied with your choice,apply the changesand exit back into your game.
Your changes take effect immediately, so be mindful if you were in the process of doing anything time-sensitive when you made the change.
