It’s been a very long time since the last Prince of Persia game released, but the series is finally back in a big way withPrince of Persia:The Lost Crown, a 2D Metroidvania that stars a brand-new protagonist and tells a new story separate from everything that’s happened in the series so far.

As exciting as it is to see the series return after long in Assassin’s Creed’s shadow, January is shaping up to be yet another massive month for video games thanks to releases such asLike A Dragon: Infinite Wealth,Tekken 8, andThe Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. With so many games on the horizon, you’re probably wanting to know just how long it’ll take to get through Sargon’s adventures through Mount Qaf. That’s what we’re here for.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown doesn’t have difficulty modes, but it does have two settings that affect how long exploring is going to take you -Guided mode will probably take you a little less time since you’ll have a map marker telling you where to go, whileExploration will take you a bit more time to figure things out since it doesn’t give you objective markers.

How Long Does It Take To Beat?

In order to beat Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you’re going to need to get through its nine main story quests. For me, while mostly focusing on the main quest and doing a little bit of exploration and side content if it was there in front of me,it took around 15 hours to do so. Once I’d beaten the main quest,I was at around 60 percent completion, which meant I still had a lot to do.

Beating the game through once still left me with a lot of Mount Qaf’s map left to uncover, collectibles to find, Amulets and upgrades to pursue, and even a few Athra Surges to unlock. If you just mainline the game to get to the end, you’re going to miss a lot,but it’s totally beatable in 15 hours or less.

How Long Does It Take To Finish?

If you’re looking to 100 percent complete Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, then you’re going to be looking at more than 20 hours of gameplayeasily. It’ll depend on how much side content you did before going for the final boss, but if you mainline it and then aim to finish off the rest of the content, there’s easily another five or six hours left.

Ubisoft previously claimed that The Lost Crown takes around 25 hours to finish, which seems like a good estimate for long it’ll take most players to 100 percent, rather than an estimate of how long it will take to just beat.

What Kind Of Post-Game Content Is There?

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown doesn’t have any kind of specific post-game content for the player to unlock, but once you’ve beaten the final boss and finished the main quest, you can return to Mount Qaf and finish off anything you missed.

The amount of post-game content you’ve got to play in The Lost Crown will depend on how much of the side content you decided to play through before defeating the final boss.
