Danny’s Strengths and Weaknesses

Danny’s strongest attribute is his Proficiency, meaning thathis focus should be helping his teammates escapeby being the one tounlock basement doorsat the start of a match.
Do your best toavoid confrontations with the Family, because this is where Danny is at his weakest. Focus on staying out of trouble, this way you canhelp unlock pathways to the exits so you can use Danny’s strong ability.
Danny’s Ability: Study And Tamper
Danny’s ability is calledStudy and Tamper. He canStudydifferent objects throughout the mapto gain Knowledgethat he can later use toTamperwith other important objects.
As you approach certain objects, you may geta prompt to “Inspect” it. After a short gauge is filled, you willgain some Knowledge. Your ability icon will have anouter ring that fillsas you gain Knowledge.
you may continue tointeract with the same types of objectsto continue gaining additional Knowledge.
The Knowledge you gain can later be usedwhen you want to Tamper withobjects that open exits, as it can beconverted into progress for the Tamper interaction. Tampered exits willstay open longer, ortake longer to cooldownbefore the Family can reset them.
TheTamper interaction minigameis similar to the one you doto unlock doors or gates.

Best Build For Danny
The final upgrade you should pick for Danny’s Study and Tamper abilitydepends on if you are playing with friends, oractively using voice chatto communicate with your teammates.
If so, you shouldpick the upgrade that permanently highlights objects you may interact withto help you navigate the map. If not, pick the one that highlights objects you Tamper with togive other Victims a clue as to which exit you are attempting to open.
If you can talk to your teammates, the latter becomes redundant.
When it comes to attribute points, make sure toallocate a few points into Strengthto make up for how low it starts. This will give youa better chance in winning close encounterswith the Family.
