Ever since its release,Honkai: Star Railhas been quite generous with its reward as it gives you enough summons to get a five-star every update even if you’re free-to-play. However, these rewards became even better when they announced a free five-star unit in the Version 1.6 live stream.
Thankfully, you don’t have to do anything specific to get this character apart from a few general things. The best part is that his kit and overall damage look quite fun, which wasn’t expected from a free character.
Free Dr. Ratio Guide
To get Dr. Ratio for free, you simply have to head to your mail and press “Claim All” after Jun 03, 2025. This is when thesecond phase for Version 1.6 begins and Dr. Ratio’s limited banner also comesin the game. The banner will end in 20 days, but you can claim free Dr. Ratio all the way till the end of the Version 2.1 update.
This means that you havearound 100 days to claim the characteronce he is released.
One thing to remember is that you won’t be able to simply get the character if you start a new game after the release. You’ll have toprogress the game up until “A Moment of Peace” Trailblaze Mission. This is one of the starting missions in the game, and you have to finish it to unlock the Mail option itself.
Who Is Dr. Ratio?
Dr. Ratio is a five-star Imaginary unit following the path of The Hunt. This path hasn’t been very popular due to the AoE meta in the game, but Dr. Ratiorelies on follow-up attacks and deals a ton of damage in the right setting. Apart from the trial that launches with his banner, the game also lets you test the character out in the Mundane Troubles Trailblaze Continuance.
When it comes to lore, Dr. Ratio is a member of the Intelligentsia Guild, and he’sfirst seen on the Herta Space Station as a delegate from the IPC. He’s known for wearing a plaster over his face since he can’t stand fools. This character has quite a mysterious personality as well.
