Even in a space-age future, there will always be those sent to salvage scrap, and the employees ofLethal Companyare those unfortunate few. With each new procedurally generated planet, players will encounter new pieces of scrap and other treasures that can be sold to The Company to stave off intense firing practices.
As a member of The Company, players must understand how to get back and forth from the moons to gather treasure before taking it to The Company’s headquarters. To understand how to sell the scrap and the best day to sell in Lethal Company, continue reading.

Lethal Company is currently in Early Access, so the content is subject to change as the game updates. We will update our articles as needed as this happens.
How To Sell Scrap
Once you’ve braved the different installations and bunkers, you’ll have scanned green treasures that you can take back to your ship.Smaller items can be placed in the red cabinet, whilelarger items can be dropped on the open floorof your ship.
If you put all the items near the red cabinet and scan with the Right Mouse Button while aboard the ship, you may geta current total of all the sellable scrapon your ship.

After you’ve collected enough scrap onto your ship for the day, or over the three days, you’ll want totake it to The Company’s buildingusing the ship’s terminal. You can do this by going through the Moons screen, where it will give you the prompt ‘The Company’s headquarters.’ You can also skip a step and justtype, “The Company” from the terminal’s main screen.
Once you land at the headquarters, you’ll notice a window with a red number display and a yellow bell to the left of your ship’s door. You’ll want topick up the scrap items and place them on the windowwith E when you get the ‘Sell’ prompt. Eventually, you’ll hear loud grumbles before the window opens, and a tentacle whips out to grab all the treasure.

If the tentacle takes too long between trips with items, you canring the bell a couple of times. Once the door opens, the monster will process the items, and you’ll get a separate confirmation screen for the items in that order. Once you’ve sold all your items for the day or met your quota, you can leave the ship with the landing controls just like any of the moons.
Don’t ring the bell next to the window too quickly, oryour ragdoll body and anyone nearby will be sucked into the windowwith the scrap. Any lost gear is returned.
When To Sell Scrap
Each day, The Company will provide a different amount it’s willing to pay for your scrap, which can be seen on your terminal’s Moons' screen. This is thepercentage of each item’s sale pricethat your employer will pay for the items you find.
For example, a load of scrap worth 116 credits on a 53 percent day will only be worth around 61 credits.
Lethal Companyrelies on the same schedulefor each round of four days, with The Company offering the following:
30%
53%
77%
Day Four
100%
The Company wants to incentivize players towait until the last momentto sell everything and maximize profits, but this alsoincreases the difficulty with each tripthat you take to the planet’s surface. You can always go to the headquarters a day or two early, but this means wasting your chance at additional profits and taking at least a 23 percent hit on your total sales.
The red numbers next to the window at The Company’s building tell you what percentage your items are being sold at in case you forget.
While it doesn’t cost you a day to visit The Company, things can bedifferent if you sell enough items to meet the quota.
When you take off after fulfilling the quota, it gets increased and your days reset back to three, which means that all your moon effects reset too.
That being said, be aware thatyou will lose all of your loot if everyone from your ship dieson the planet. The ship will go into autopilot and leave the planet, with everything aboard being deleted and forcing you to start collecting again at a severe disadvantage.
If you can meet your quota without taking too big of a hit to your profits, selling early might be the best option when you’re playing it safe. As your quota increases, this will become a less viable option. You’ll need to stick it out for as many days as you can or get nearly all the scrap at every stop.
