Raises a Pokemon’s critical hit chance.

Sharpness increases the power of Razor Shell, X-Scissor, Ceaseless Edge, and Sacred Sword by 50 percent.

Samurott’s entire strategy ishitting you hard and fast with a high crit chance, which can make luck a large element in this fight, not helped by having type coverage for Electric and Grass-Types, making it hard to get super effective damage.

However, Samurott will reset your stats frequently, butwill only reset its own once, if that.It also has a relatively small shield, being only about a quarter of its HP bar that activates fairly soon.

Finally, while Sacred Sword is intimidating,Samurott only uses it later in the fight and doesn’t use it frequently. The best strategy to take Samurott down is to give it a taste of its own medicine: hit it hard and fast.

Miraidon Solo Method

Miraidon is the easiest Pokemon to solo this raid with given its stats and moveset.

Modest

Metal Sound, Parabolic Charge, Electro Drift

First, use Metal Sound to lower Samurott’s special defense by two stages. Then use Parabolic Charge andTerastalize at the first opportunity.

Continue using Parabolic Charge, as electric terrain should boost your Special Attack andSamurott does not reset its own stats often. You’ll be through the shield before it does so.

Parabolic Charge should keep your health topped up, and the Metronome will make the move stronger every time you use it, while Electro Drift is if you run out of PP or want to use a stronger move.

Miraidon’s strong enough that you should finish this fight with time to spare, but if you’re having difficulty or get a couple of unlucky crits, try doing more Metal Sounds at the beginning of the fight.

Gastrodon Solo Method

If you do not have access to Miraidon, your next best option will be Gastrodon, though this method does require some luck.

Mud-Slap, Tera Blast

Gastrodon’s Storm Drain ability allows it to absorb Water-Type moves and raise its Special Attack. However, Samurott will use other moves that can crit easily.

If you’re in a group battle, one person having Gastrodon will still help as Storm Drain absorbs Water-Type moves used against all allies.

For this method, start by using Mud-Slap until you can Terastalize. This will lower Samurott’s accuracy, making it miss attacks more often.

Once you Terastalize, spam your super-effective Tera Blast until you’re through the shield. The Shell Bell will heal you as you deal damage, allowing you to survive longer.

Tera Electric is better than Tera Grass for this fight as Bulldoze is weaker than X-Scissor and Gastrodon is more likely to survive it.

Since this relies on Samurott missing and Samurott not critting you often,it may take a few tries. If you do faint but have gotten through the shield, bring Earth Power as a back up option to deal damage to Samurott without Tera Blast.
