What Are Monsters

Monsters areaggressive enemies you’ll faceonce you enter the mines.Kira will give you your initial weapon, though you can find additional ones as you dive deeper into the mines.

Whilesome enemies will leave you alone, many will come after youif they spot you. You’ll have to defend yourself, or they’llreduce your health to zeroquickly and end the day early for you. Plus, you’ll getstuck with a hospital billfromCharles, the local doctor, for having to patch you up.

If you’re struggling with combat, you cantoggle it from default to hit to aggroin your game settings.

While you canuse traps and explosivesto attack enemies, the mosteffective way remains to be using your melee weaponto attack them.Use your surroundings to your advantageto avoid getting too close while still dealing damage to the monsters.

Some monsters, like the Sphekter, can sting you, which willdeal damage over timewhen hit. They can also fly, so theywon’t be slowed down by rocks or oresthat hinder you.

Make sure tobring plenty of snacks and mealsinto the mines toreplenish your health and staminaif you’re planning to spend a long time in there.
