InThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, you play as Geralt of Rivia. Wield magic and collect powerful weapons to defeat a variety of monsters as you try to track down your adopted daughter, who is on the run from the Wild Hunt.

It has third-person and first-person options and features a combat/movement system similar to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. As you explore, you’ll learn more about the universe and how you can exploit it.

Avatar: The Game is the first game based on the James Cameron film series. Launched in 2009, the third-person action game is considered a non-canon prequel, but features many actors from the first movie.

While the online servers have been long gone, you can still dive in on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, or PC. Pick a side and fight as the Na’vi or against them as the RDA with objective-based missions and a variety of weapons to use.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris the second adventure of Cal Kestis. It comes with a myriad of customization options, from BD-1 and Cal’s lightsaber to the character’s hairstyle and his clothing.

If Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s open world is to your liking, then the worlds of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor are right up your alley. Riding different creatures and fighting the Empire are very similar to how the Na’vi take on the RDA.

Navigate the open world by foot or hop on a dinosaur and ride it into battle. There’s much more base building in Ark, but the combat and movement are comparable to that of Frontiers of Pandora.

God of War: Ragnarok’s world is a lot more open than the series' previous entry. The overall ability to explore, fight how you want to with Kratos, and discover the story at your own pace is greatly improved.

The Avatar universe is a complete work of fiction, but has some of the best backstory the film industry has ever delivered. God of War Ragnarokplays off Norse mythology, delivering a similar mystical field of its world that you play through.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalladives into Norse mythology, just as God of War: Ragnarok does. If you are intothe world-building that mythology delivers, there is plenty to learn about while playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

The story is also rather similiar between Avatar and Valhalla. A highly skilled warrior must help his people defeat those who are bringing danger and destruction to his land. How you do it is up to you.

In terms of world size and the beauty of the in-game environment, you won’t find more of a match thanHorizon Forbidden Westwhen compared to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Aloy and the player character in Avatar are quite alike in terms of abilities and goals, too.

While Aloy is on a mission to uncover secrets that will help her civilization, the Na’vi you play as emerges as a stranger on its own planet and has to defeat the RDA forces that threaten Pandora. Weapons, travel, and more will have you feeling right at home if you decide to pick up Horizon Forbidden West.
