In theFortnite: Rocket Racinggame mode, you’ll race through numerous tracks inspired by different locations in Fortnite, all in an effort to achieve first place. Even though the game mode is still relatively fresh, many customization options are available to unlock or purchase.
One of these customization options is Decals, which are colored designs such as stripes or flames that you’re able to recolor and place on top of your vehicle. Since there is a surprisingly large number of decals available in the game mode, check out the list below to see which of these customization options will make your car truly stand out.
In Rocket Racing, certain decals are only available on a specific vehicle. For example, decals that are unlocked by purchasing one of the vehicle bundles can only be used on that specific car, while decals that are unlocked by advancing your rank can be used on any of the basic cars.
Car: Octane

More likely than not, the Flames decal is the first customization option that you will unlock for your vehicle. This is because you unlock the Flames byreaching Bronze III in the ranked mode of Rocket Racing,which is the lowest overall tier in the game.
This decal adds fire to the front and back of your car, which can be recolored to make it appear like your car is actually on fire. If you are worried about reaching the highest tier of Bronze, then fear not, since in this ranked tier you will progress no matter where you place in each race.
8Stripes
If you are looking to slap a Decal onto your car quickly, then you’re able to never go wrong with the Stripes customization. This Decal is unlocked by reaching Silver II in Rocket Racing, and since every multiplayer match affects your rank, this goal should be relatively easy to accomplish.
The Decal itself only features two thin stripes that stretch across the top of your car from the hood to the trunk. Furthermore, since this Decal is simplistic, so it can easily blend naturally with any of the many car colors you can choose from.
7Llama-Matic
Car: Scorpion
If you have purchased the Chapter 5: Season 1 Battle Pass, then you’ll be happy to know that this premium pass features rewards for Rocket Racing. Specifically, on page 13 of the pass, you can unlock a car called the Scorpion, as well as a Decal called the Llama-Matic.
In Fortnite, Llamas have become part of the game’s canon, and are typically hunted down for the valuable loot hidden inside of them. While this decal does not offer any special weapons, there are two llamas on either car door.
6Wings
By completing just five of theRocket Racing Season Zero kick-off quests,you may unlock the Wing Decal to decorate your vehicle. This Decal splashes wings across the front and sides of your car, whose color can be changed to match whichever color scheme you want.
Keep in mind that to complete the Season Zero kick-off quests, all you need to do is complete simple tasks like driving distances, completing races, and activating your boost.
5Society
By reaching level 86 in the Chapter 5: Season 1 Battle Pass, you’ll be able to unlock a special type of Decal that only works on the Scorpion car. This decal completely overwrites the base color of your vehicle, turning the car jet-black with orange accents.
While this option is certainly unique, keep in mind that equipping the Society Decal will not allow you to change the base color of your vehicle. Luckily, you can still changethe color and appearance of your wheelsif you are seriously yearning for some more customization.
4Lucky Seven
Car: Diesel
In the Fortnite shop, there are a variety of bundles that you can purchase, which give you access to a new car model and a variety of decals that only work on this specific vehicle. The Diesel bundle is one of the more expensive options, costing 2,500 V-bucks, but unlocking an incredibly appealing muscle car.
Along with the Diesel car, you can use the Lucky Seven Decal, which changes the color of your car into a mixture of blue and purple. While this may not be the most visually appealing Decal, there is not currently a way to get two colors on your vehicle at once, so this customization option will make you stand out.
3Storm Warning
Car: Jager 619
By purchasing the Jager bundle for just 1,500 V-bucks, you’ll gain access to a vehicle that originally became famous inRocket League.On top of unlocking the vehicle itself, you’ll also earn the Storm Warning Decal, which decorates your vehicle with lightning and a small logo.
The best aspect of the Storm Warning Decal is the versatility it provides you, since you can change the base color of the vehicle to perfectly match the white-hot bursts of electricity.
2Bat Boy
Car: Cyclone
The Bat Boy Decal is another customization option that is available only through purchasing the Cyclone bundle for 1,500 V-Bucks. This is yet another vehicle that was originally in Rocket League before being added to Fortnite.
Unlike the other Decals in the game, the Bat Boy adds a face to the hood of your car, which you’re able to use to intimidate your opponents and secure first place.
1STO
Car: Lamborghini
Currently, the most expensive car in Fortnite Rocket racing comes in the Lamborghini STO bundle, which allows you to drive an actual Lamborghini car in the game. This bundle costs 3,500 V-Bucks, and only comes with two Decals, so we recommend only purchasing this pack if you love the vehicle.
One of these Decals, the STO, is a recolor of the Lamborghini which turns the car into a metallic gray with yellow accents. The pack even comes with unique tires that match this Decal perfectly, allowing you to exude a regal aura while racing.
