The end of the year isn’t just about looking back at what we got, but also looking ahead to what’s to come. Not many big games releasing in 2024 have been confirmed yet, but we do know that on February 29, ourFinal Fantasy 7journeys will continue.Rebirthlaunches at the end of February, and this holiday season is the best time yet to catch up on the story so far since Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is on sale for just $15.19.

Usually priced at $39.99, thePS5version of the game, which includes the Yuffie DLC, is on sale for a little more than $15 right now through the PlayStation Store. Worth noting before you pick it up that this is the same version of the game included in the PS Plus Extra library, but if you only have the Essential tier, or you don’t have PS Plus at all, then this is a bargain worth taking advantage of if you don’t already own Remake.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade

WHERE TO PLAY

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is the definitive version of the reimagined trilogy’s first part. Enhanced for the PS5 and includes the additional content that introduces Yuffie to the story.

Square Enixhas confirmed its reimagining of Final Fantasy 7 will be a trilogy. Remake kicked things off, Rebirth will continue the journey almost four years later, and a third game featuring another word that begins with Re will come later, likely towards the end of the decade. Really pushing the definition of what a remake can be, the trilogy is a lot more than a polished version of the original game. Its story has been turned on its head and even those who loved the original are at a loss when it comes to what will happen in Rebirth and beyond.

With a little more than two months to go, it was confirmed this week thatRebirth’s story will take roughly 40 hours to complete, but there will be 100 hours of content for anyone who wants it. Square continues to refuse to comment on the infamous death from the original game and whether that iconic video game moment will be recreated in 2024. Tetsuya Nomura was willing to saywhoever dies in Rebirth won’t be coming backthough, despite the reimagined series seemingly having parallel realities.

Lots forFinal Fantasyfans to look forward to in 2024 other than Rebirth alone. Final Fantasy 16 will be getting more DLC, and you’re able to stillpick the game up for less through the PlayStation Storeright now.Final Fantasy 14’s next big expansion, Dawntrail is also coming next summer, and its creators have already confirmed there’s more to come after that.
