Info on the Science Rocks and Rocket Science weapons from Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting

8Science Rocks/Rocket Science

It’s Not Brain Surgery, Is It?

Probably the most innovative new weapon added in Emergency Meeting, Science Rocks works completely differently to everything that came before it, requiring you to step on the rocks it scatters in order to deal any damage with it. As it levels up it starts creating seriously devastating AOE damage zones, but the movement requirements really hurt its viability.

Being forced to move around results in a lot of damage from enemies, particularly early on in a run, since the spots where the rocks generate are chosen at random. Its evolved form, Rocket Science, has an even worse problem, demanding that you hit a sequence of numbers in order before it deals damage at all. The damage output on this weapon is good, but it’s just not worth the inconvenience and sub-optimal play required to use it.

Info on the Just Vent and Unjust Ejection weapons from Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting

7Just Vent/Unjust Ejection

Vent Your Frustrations In A Joyfully Literal Way

A lot of Vampire Survivors weapons start off weak and get much better later, and Just Vent is one of the more extreme examples of this. In its base form, it’s an incredibly slow weapon that has a negligible effect on enemy hordes, making it nigh-on useless both early and late. When it evolves, however, it becomes a devastating AOE attack that hits the edge of the screen: somewhere that most weapons can’t reach.

Because of this, Just Vent is a decent pickup later on in a run, where its shabby early performance can be compensated for with your existing arsenal, and it can quickly evolve into Unjust Ejection and start doing some damage. That said, it’s not useful for much of the game, and even at its peak there are better options, relegating it to a niche pick at best.

Info on the Lucky Swipe and Crossed Wires weapons from Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting

6Lucky Swipe/Crossed Wires

Solve The Puzzle Of Enemies On The Screen

Seeing new approaches to weapon design is one of the most exciting parts of any Vampire Survivors DLC pack, and Lucky Swipe feels particularly distinct within Emergency Meeting. Its base attack is a swipe from a rectangular card which flies back and forth across the screen, damaging all in its path. Once it evolves, it becomes the Crossed Wires, a series of horizontal and diagonal damage zones.

Both forms evoke iconic Among Us mini-games beautifully, and both can also dish out solid damage too, albeit rather inconsistently. They won’t help you out much in the early game, but if you want to spice up your late game with some wide-reaching AOE, then this is a very decent choice.

Info on the Hats weapon from Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting

5Hats

You Get A Hat! And You Get A Hat!

Hats joins the esteemed ranks of Vampire Survivors’ ‘joke weapons’, these being humorous weapons without evolved forms wielded by some of the more bizarre characters in the game. Generally these aren’t worth considering, given they lack the huge power jump that evolution brings, but Hats is one of the better options within this category.

Since the hats are scattered around your character in a vague circular pattern, they pair nicely with the Garlic/King Bible/Santa Water combo, giving you anew choice for buildsthat aim to push enemies away on all sides. The lack of an evolved form does sting, but you can always make up for that via Limit Breaks if you value the whimsy that Hats brings to the table.

Info on the Clear Debris and Clear Asteroids weapons from Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting

4Clear Debris/Clear Asteroids

The Choice Is Clear

It’s rare to see a Vampire Survivors weapon that attacks vertically rather than horizontally, Song of Manna being the only real example that comes to mind, so Clear Debris is an exciting new addition to the roster. It drops damaging items in vertical zones every few seconds, giving you safe spots to stand in as your enemies are buried around you.

This is a nice way to attack on a different axis, particularly invertically-oriented Stages like Gallo Tower. Its evolved form, Clear Asteroids, adds some extra explosions based on your Amount stat, meaning this weapon performs especially well in projectile-focused builds that utilize the Duplicator passive item.

Info on the Sharp Tongue and Impostongue weapons from Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting

3Sharp Tongue/Impostongue

Lashings Of Damage For Everyone!

The Sharp Tongue appears at first glance to be a fairly run-of-the-mill weapon, attacking the nearest enemy with a stretchy tongue jab like a slightly more disgusting Magic Wand, but dig a little deeper and you’ll find some interesting facets to it. The damage here scales up based on your Recovery stat, letting you invest in your character’s defenses while bolstering their damage output at the same time.

In addition, the Impostongue focuses on the strongest nearby enemy and pierces through to those behind, helping to keep the pressure off asbosses and mini-bossesstart showing up later on. Both visually and mechanically, the Tongue weapons are a home run.

Info on the Lifesign Scan and Paranormal Scan weapons from Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting

2Lifesign Scan/Paranormal Scan

An Exciting Anomaly In Weapon Design

Healing in Vampire Survivors can be difficult to come by, coming largely from candelabra-dispensed chicken you chance upon as you explore, so the introduction of a dedicated healing weapon in Lifesign Scan is a welcome one. Every few seconds it heals you based on your Amount and Recovery stats, keeping you in the gameeven when things get rough.

Once it evolves, it swaps out healing for run-long stat boosts, which can escalate quickly since you’ll get more boosts as your Cooldown reduces. While healing isn’t great early on, the earlier you start the stat boosts from Paranormal Scan going the quicker they can snowball into an overwhelming late-game advantage.

Info on the Report! and Emergency Meeting weapons from Vampire Survivors: Emergency Meeting

1Report!/Emergency Meeting

Tough Enemies? Just Vote Them Out

The best new weapon in Emergency Meeting is also the one that changes the most as it evolves. Report! Is a fairly standard weapon, attacking in a wide horizontal cone in front of you, but Emergency Meeting is something else entirely.

Every few seconds, Emergency Meeting chooses one of the enemy types on screen and ‘votes them out’, destroying every instance of that enemy in view. This can wipe out huge swathes of enemies at once, especially when there are only one or two enemy types in a stage, and it gets even better when you lower your Cooldown and start using it near-constantly, keeping everything on-screen from your door.
