PlayStation Plusused to be a subscription service that got you a few free games every month and access to other titles' online features. Needing to come up with something that looked a little more likeXbox Game Pass, PlayStation shook things up in 2022 and introduced a tiered PS Plus system. Now there are three options to choose from: Essential, Extra, and Premium. Each tier costs more than the last, but paying more will get you access to more features and a bigger library of games.
My Hero One’s Justice 2
July 18, 2025
The biggest of the three games isLies of P. A soulslike that puts you into the shoes of Pinocchio, Lies of P has arrived just in time for the arrival of the hit game’s first DLC expansion, Overture. You’re only getting the base game with Essential, but if you’ve been holding out on Lies of P, or this is the first you’re hearing of it, now’s the time to dive in, and then you can continue your adventure via the DLC once you’re done.
Joining Lies of P on PS Plus Essential this month isDayZ. A twist on a genre that can sometimes feel oversaturated, up to 60 players are dropped into a map and tasked with surviving the oncoming zombie horde together. Rounding out August’s Essential offerings isMy Hero One’s Justice 2for the anime fighting game fans among you.

Risk of Rain 2
Abiotic Factor
June 15, 2025
PlayStation kicks off every month by rolling out its Essential games, but doesn’t provide an update on what’s coming to Extra until roughly midway through the month. That means we’re not privy to what August will bring to Extra just yet. However, July was a big month for Plus’s middle tier, and everything added last month is available to play right now.
PS Plus turned 15 last month, so PlayStation has did a little something to push the boat out and celebrate.Cyberpunk 2077- yes, theCyberpunk 2077 - is now available for anyone who has an active PS Plus Extra subscription.

If you were to think of a game that’s the polar opposite of Cyberpunk, but not necessarily in a bad way, what springs to mind? If you thought Bluey: The Videogame, then wackadoo! Have a gold star.Bluey’s first foray into games joined Cyberpunk on Extra on July 15, as didPlanet Zoo.
It’s not all Cyberpunk and Bluey. After the regularly scheduled games dropped,Abiotic Factorfinally arrived on PS Plus on July 22. PS Plus doesn’t get as many day-one games as Game Pass, but when it does, it makes them count. Just look atBlue PrinceandAnimal Well. If Abiotic Factor is on the same level as those, we’re in for a treat.

Twisted Metal 4
July 11, 2025
As is the case with Extra, games coming to PS Plus’s Premium tier also aren’t revealed until later in the month. That means we don’t know what classic and VR games might join the most expensive tier of PS Plus this month, but the Twisted Metal additions we got in July are still there, waiting to be played.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song
July 04, 2025
When new games arrive on PS Plus Extra and Premium each month, others have to leave, and there are some big ones being walked to the chopping block this month. The biggest of all isStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. If you’re yet to play through Cal Kestis’s latest adventure, or you left off and have been meaning to go back, now’s the time to do so. If you’ve been playing it through Extra, you will need to buy the game to carry on playing after August 19. The same applies toBugsnaxand all 12 other games leaving PS Plus this month.
