Epic gives away free games via its online store all year round, but it kicks things up a notch over the holidays. Rather than giving away a game or two a week, during the 2023 holiday season,Epic gave away a total of 17 games. It kicked off its holiday event with a week-long giveaway and then proceeded to offer up a free game every day for a period that spanned more than two weeks.

It appears to be doing something similar this year and we’ll be gathering up every single game Epic gives away for free during 2024’s holiday season below. That way you not only have somewhere to go to find out what game is free at any given moment, but you can also check in on what you’ve missed and make a note of when the next free game will be revealed and available.

Sifu is a martial arts brawler that aims to capture the feeling of classic Hong Kong action movies. It uses a detailed combat system modeled on Bak Mei kung fu, with a unique ageing mechanic to determine power and frailty.

Here I was thinking Epic had used up all its big guns during this 2024/25 giveaway over Christmas, blissfully unaware that what might be the best game given away so far during this holiday season was being saved for New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day.Sifuis game number 14 in this festive season of giveaways, providing the perfect game to play as 2024 becomes 2025. Download it now and engage in some of the most satisfying Kung Fu combat ever to be put to a video game. In [REDACTED], a fast-action isometric roguelike, a shadowy agent watches Black Iron Prison spiral into chaos. As one of the last guards, fight through monsters, rivals, and reanimated corpses of your fellow guards to escape the penitentiary alive.

Today Epic is giving away yet another roguelike, and no, we’ve not had to hide the name of the game for undisclosed reasons. It really is calledRedacted, and if my calculations are correct, it’s the newest game to have been a part of this year’s holiday giveaway so far having only been released a few months ago. Assume the role of a prison guard trying to get out of their place of work on one of Jupiter’s moons unscathed. You might start out pretty underpowered, but every time you die, you come back stronger.
